Sunan Abi Dawud 917

Abu Qatada (رضي الله تعالى عنه) reported that the Apostle of Allah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) was leading the people in prayer with Umama (رضي الله تعالى عنها), daughter of Zainab ( رضئ هللاتعالی عنہا), the daughter of the Apostle of Allah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) (in his lap). When he prostrated, he put her down and when he got up (after prostration) he lifted her up.

ابوقتادہ رضی اللہ عنہ کہتے ہیں کہ رسول اللہ ﷺ نماز پڑھ رہے تھے اور اپنی نواسی امامہ بنت زینب کو کندھے پر اٹھائے ہوئے تھے، جب آپ ﷺ سجدے میں جاتے تو انہیں اتار دیتے اور جب کھڑے ہوتے تو انہیں اٹھا لیتے تھے ۔

حَدَّثَنَا الْقَعْنَبِيُّ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏حَدَّثَنَا مَالِكٌ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ عَامِرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ الزُّبَيْرِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ سُلَيْمٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ أَبِي قَتَادَةَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ كَانَ يُصَلِّي وَهُوَ حَامِلٌ أُمَامَةَ بِنْتَ زَيْنَبَ بِنْتِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَإِذَا سَجَدَ وَضَعَهَا، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَإِذَا قَامَ حَمَلَهَا .

Sunan Abi Dawud 918

Abu Qatada (رضي الله تعالى عنه) reported that they were sitting in the Mosque when the Apostle of Allah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) came in the mosque carrying Umama (رضي الله تعالى عنها) daughter of Abul A'as Ibn Ar-Rabi (رضي الله تعالى عنه). Her mother was Zainab ( رضئ هللاتعالی عنہا), daughter of the Apostle of Allah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم). She was a child and he (the Prophet ﷺ) was carrying her on his shoulder. The Apostle of Allah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) led (the people) in prayer while she was on his shoulder. When he bowed, he put her down and took her up when he got up. He kept on doing so until he finished his prayer.

ابوقتادہ رضی اللہ عنہ کہتے ہیں کہ ہم لوگ مسجد میں بیٹھے ہوئے تھے کہ اسی دوران رسول اللہ ﷺ ہمارے پاس تشریف لائے اس حال میں کہ آپ امامہ بنت ابوالعاص بن ربیع کو اپنے کندھے اٹھائے ہوئے تھے، امامہ کی والدہ رسول اللہ ﷺ کی صاحبزادی زینب رضی اللہ عنہا تھیں، امامہ ابھی چھوٹی بچی تھیں، وہ آپ ﷺ کے کندھے پر تھیں، جب آپ رکوع کرتے تو انہیں اتار دیتے پھر جب کھڑے ہوتے تو انہیں دوبارہ اٹھا لیتے، اسی طرح کرتے ہوئے آپ نے اپنی پوری نماز ادا کی۔

حَدَّثَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ يَعْنِي ابْنَ سَعِيدٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏حَدَّثَنَا اللَّيْثُ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ سُلَيْمٍ الزُّرَقِيِّ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ أَبَا قَتَادَةَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏يَقُولُ:‏‏‏‏ بَيْنَا نَحْنُ فِي الْمَسْجِدِ جُلُوسٌ خَرَجَ عَلَيْنَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَحْمِلُ أُمَامَةَ بِنْتَ أَبِي الْعَاصِ بْنِ الرَّبِيعِ وَأُمُّهَا زَيْنَبُ بِنْتُ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَهِيَ صَبِيَّةٌ يَحْمِلُهَا عَلَى عَاتِقِهِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏ فَصَلَّى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَهِيَ عَلَى عَاتِقِهِ يَضَعُهَا إِذَا رَكَعَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَيُعِيدُهَا إِذَا قَامَ حَتَّى قَضَى صَلَاتَهُ يَفْعَلُ ذَلِكَ بِهَا .

Sunan Abi Dawud 919

Abu Qatada al-Ansari (رضي الله تعالى عنه) reported that he saw the Apostle of Allah ( صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) leading the people in prayer with Umama (رضئ هللا تعالی عنہا) daughter of Abul Aas Ibn Ar-Rabi (رضي الله تعالى عنه) on his neck (shoulder). When he prostrated, he put her down. Imam Abu Dawood said : The narrator Makhramah did not hear from his father except one tradition.

ابوقتادہ انصاری رضی اللہ عنہ کہتے ہیں کہ میں نے رسول اللہ ﷺ کو لوگوں کو نماز پڑھاتے ہوئے دیکھا اور آپ کی نواسی امامہ بنت ابوالعاص رضی اللہ عنہا آپ کی گردن پر سوار تھیں، جب آپ ﷺ سجدہ میں جاتے تو انہیں اتار دیتے تھے۔

Abooqatida Ansaari (رضي الله تعالى عنه) kehte hain ke main ne Rasool Allah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ko logon ko namaz parhate huye dekha aur aap ki nawasi Imama bint Abu Al-Aas ( (رضي الله تعالى عنه) ا) aap ki gardan par sawar thin, jab aap (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) Sajda mein jate to unhen utar dete the.

حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ الْمُرَادِيُّ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ وَهْبٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ مَخْرَمَةَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ أَبِيهِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ سُلَيْمٍ الزُّرَقِيِّ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ سَمِعْتُأَبَا قَتَادَةَ الْأَنْصَارِيَّ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏يَقُولُ:‏‏‏‏ رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يُصَلِّي لِلنَّاسِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَأُمَامَةُ بِنْتُ أَبِي الْعَاصِ عَلَى عُنُقِهِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَإِذَا سَجَدَ وَضَعَهَا . قَالَ أَبُو دَاوُد:‏‏‏‏ وَلَمْ يَسْمَعْ مَخْرَمَةُ مِنْ أَبِيهِ إِلَّا حَدِيثًا وَاحِدًا.

Sunan Abi Dawud 920

Abu Qatada (رضي الله تعالى عنه), a Companion of the Messenger of Allah ( صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم), said : While we were waiting for the Apostle of Allah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) for the noon or afternoon prayer, and Bilal ( رضي الله تعالى عنه) had already called him for prayer, he came with Umamah (رضئ هللا تعالی ہا عن) daughter of Abu al-Aas (رضي الله تعالى عنه) and daughter of his daughter on his neck. The Apostle of Allah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) stood at the place of prayer and we stood behind him and she (Umamah - رضي الله تعالى عنها ) (all this time) was in her place. He uttered the takbir and we also uttered. When the Apostle of Allah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) intended to bow, he took her and put her down, and then he bowed and prostrated till he finished his prostration. He then got up and took her and returned he to her place. The Apostle of Allah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) kept on doing that in every rak’a until he finished his prayer.

صحابی رسول ابوقتادہ رضی اللہ عنہ کہتے ہیں ہم لوگ ظہر یا عصر میں نماز کے لیے رسول اللہ ﷺ کا انتظار کر رہے تھے اور بلال رضی اللہ عنہ آپ کو نماز کے لیے بلا چکے تھے، اتنے میں آپ ﷺ ہمارے درمیان تشریف لائے اور اس حال میں کہ ( آپ کی نواسی ) امامہ بنت ابوالعاص رضی اللہ عنہما جو آپ کی صاحبزادی زینب رضی اللہ عنہا کی بیٹی تھیں آپ کی گردن پر سوار تھیں تو آپ اپنی جگہ پر کھڑے ہوئے اور ہم لوگ آپ کے پیچھے کھڑے ہوئے اور وہ اپنی جگہ پر اسی طرح بیٹھی رہیں، جیسے بیٹھی تھیں، ابوقتادہ رضی اللہ عنہ کہتے ہیں: پھر آپ ﷺ نے «الله أكبر» کہا تو ہم لوگوں نے بھی «الله أكبر» کہا یہاں تک کہ جب آپ نے رکوع کرنا چاہا تو انہیں اتار کر نیچے بٹھا دیا، پھر رکوع اور سجدہ کیا، یہاں تک کہ جب آپ سجدے سے فارغ ہوئے پھر ( دوسری رکعت کے لیے ) کھڑے ہوئے تو انہیں اٹھا کر ( اپنی گردن پر ) اسی جگہ بٹھا لیا، جہاں وہ پہلے بیٹھی تھیں، رسول اللہ ﷺ برابر ہر رکعت میں ایسا ہی کرتے رہے یہاں تک کہ آپ نماز سے فارغ ہوئے۔

Sahabi Rasul Abu Qatadah (رضي الله تعالى عنه) kehte hain hum log Zuhur ya Asar mein namaz ke liye Rasul Allah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ka intezar kar rahe they aur Bilal (رضي الله تعالى عنه) aap ko namaz ke liye bula chuke they, itne mein aap (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) humare darmiyan tashreef laye aur is hal mein ke ( aap ki nawasi ) Imamah bint Abu Al Aas ( (رضي الله تعالى عنه) a jo aap ki sahibzadi Zainab ( (رضي الله تعالى عنه) ا) ki beti they aap ki gardan par sawar they to aap apni jagah par khade hue aur hum log aap ke pichhe khade hue aur woh apni jagah par isi tarah baithi rahin, jese baithi they, Abu Qatadah (رضي الله تعالى عنه) kehte hain: phir aap (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne «Allah Akbar» kaha to hum logo ne bhi «Allah Akbar» kaha yahan tak ke jab aap ne rukoo karna chaha to unhein utar kar niche bitha diya, phir rukoo aur sajda kiya, yahan tak ke jab aap sajde se farigh hue phir ( dosri rakat ke liye ) khade hue to unhein uthakar ( apni gardan par ) isi jagah bitha liya, jahan woh pehle baithi they, Rasul Allah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) barabar har rakat mein aisa hi karte rahe yahan tak ke aap namaz se farigh hue.

حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ خَلَفٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْأَعْلَى، ‏‏‏‏‏‏حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدٌ يَعْنِي ابْنَ إِسْحَاقَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْمَقْبُرِيِّ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْعَمْرِو بْنِ سُلَيْمٍ الزُّرَقِيِّ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ أَبِي قَتَادَةَ صَاحِبِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ بَيْنَمَا نَحْنُ نَنْتَظِرُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ لِلصَّلَاةِ فِي الظُّهْرِ أَوِ الْعَصْرِ وَقَدْ دَعَاهُ بِلَالٌ لِلصَّلَاةِ إِذْ خَرَجَ إِلَيْنَا وَأُمَامَةُ بِنْتُ أَبِي الْعَاصِ بِنْتُ ابْنَتِهِ عَلَى عُنُقِهِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏ فَقَامَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِي مُصَلَّاهُ وَقُمْنَا خَلْفَهُ وَهِيَ فِي مَكَانِهَا الَّذِي هِيَ فِيهِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ فَكَبَّرَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَكَبَّرْنَا، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ حَتَّى إِذَا أَرَادَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنْ يَرْكَعَ أَخَذَهَا فَوَضَعَهَا، ‏‏‏‏‏‏ثُمَّ رَكَعَ وَسَجَدَ حَتَّى إِذَا فَرَغَ مِنْ سُجُودِهِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏ثُمَّ قَامَ أَخَذَهَا فَرَدَّهَا فِي مَكَانِهَا، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَمَا زَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَصْنَعُ بِهَا ذَلِكَ فِي كُلِّ رَكْعَةٍ حَتَّى فَرَغَ مِنْ صَلَاتِهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ .

Sunan Abi Dawud 921

Abu Huraira (رضي الله تعالى عنه) reported that the Prophet (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) said : Kill the two black things during prayer, the snake and scorpion.

ابوہریرہ رضی اللہ عنہ کہتے ہیں کہ رسول اللہ ﷺ نے فرمایا: نماز میں دونوں کالوں ( یعنی ) سانپ اور بچھو کو ( اگر دیکھو تو ) قتل کر ڈالو ۔

Abu Hurayrah (رضي الله تعالى عنه) kehte hain ke Rasul Allah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne farmaya: namaz mein dono kalon ( yani ) sanp aur bichchu ko ( agar dekho to ) qatal kar dalo.

حَدَّثَنَا مُسْلِمُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ الْمُبَارَكِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ أَبِي كَثِيرٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ ضَمْضَمِ بْنِ جَوْسٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ:‏‏‏‏ اقْتُلُوا الْأَسْوَدَيْنِ فِي الصَّلَاةِ:‏‏‏‏ الْحَيَّةَ وَالْعَقْرَبَ .

Sunan Abi Dawud 922

Ummul Momineen Aisha (رضي الله تعالى عنها) reported that the Apostle of Allah ( صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) was praying with his door bolted. I came and asked to have the door opened. He walked and opened the door for me. He then returned to his place for prayer. He (the narrator Urwah) mentioned that the door faced the Qibla.

ام المؤمنین عائشہ رضی اللہ عنہا کہتی ہیں کہ رسول اللہ ﷺ نماز پڑھ رہے تھے، دروازہ بند تھا تو میں آئی اور دروازہ کھلوانا چاہا تو آپ نے ( حالت نماز میں ) چل کر میرے لیے دروازہ کھولا اور مصلی ( نماز کی جگہ ) پر واپس لوٹ گئے ۔ اور عروہ نے ذکر کیا کہ آپ کے گھر کا دروازہ قبلہ کی سمت میں تھا۔

Umme al-Momineen Ayesha ( (رضي الله تعالى عنه) ا) kehti hain ke Rasool Allah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) namaz padh rahe they, darwaza band tha to main aayi aur darwaza khulwana chaha to aap ne (halat namaz mein) chal kar mere liye darwaza khola aur musalli (namaz ki jagah) par wapas laut gaye 1؎. Aur Urooh ne zikr kiya ke aap ke ghar ka darwaza qibla ki samt mein tha.

حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ حَنْبَلٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَمُسَدَّدٌ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَهَذَا لَفْظُهُ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ حَدَّثَنَا بِشْرٌ يَعْنِي ابْنَ الْمُفَضَّلِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏حَدَّثَنَا بُرْدٌ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ الزُّهْرِيِّ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْعُرْوَةَ بْنِ الزُّبَيْرِ،‏‏‏‏عَنْ عَائِشَةَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَتْ:‏‏‏‏ كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ أَحْمَدُ:‏‏‏‏ يُصَلِّي وَالْبَابُ عَلَيْهِ مُغْلَقٌ فَجِئْتُ فَاسْتَفْتَحْتُ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ أَحْمَدُ:‏‏‏‏ فَمَشَى، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَفَتَحَ لِي، ‏‏‏‏‏‏ثُمَّ رَجَعَ إِلَى مُصَلَّاهُ . وَذَكَرَ أَنَّ الْبَابَ كَانَ فِي الْقِبْلَةِ.
