Sunan Abi Dawud 742
Nafi’ said, when Abdullah bin Umar (رضي الله تعالى عنه) began his prayer, he raised his hands opposite to his shoulders; and when he raised his head after bowing, he raised them lower than that. Imam Abu Dawood said, so as far as I know, no one narrated the words “he raised them lower that that” except Malik.

نافع کہتے ہیں کہ عبداللہ بن عمر رضی اللہ عنہما جب نماز شروع کرتے تو اپنے دونوں ہاتھ دونوں کندھوں کے بالمقابل اٹھاتے، اور جب رکوع سے اپنا سر اٹھاتے تو اس سے کم اٹھاتے تھے۔ ابوداؤد کہتے ہیں: جہاں تک مجھے معلوم ہے مالک کے علاوہ کسی نے «رفعهما دون ذلك» ( انہیں یعنی ہاتھوں کو اس سے کم یعنی مونڈھے سے نیچے اٹھاتے ) کا ذکر نہیں کیا ہے۔
Nafi' kehte hain ke Abd-ul-llah bin Umar ( (رضي الله تعالى عنه) a jab namaz shuru karte to apne dono hath dono kandhon ke balmuqabil uthate, aur jab rukoo se apna sar uthate to is se kam uthate the. Abudao'd kehte hain: Jahan tak mujhe maloom hai Malik ke alawa kisi ne «rafeahuma don dak» ( unhain yani hathon ko is se kam yani monde se niche uthate ) ka zikr nahi kiya hai.
حَدَّثَنَا الْقَعْنَبِيُّ، عَنْ مَالِكٍ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ، أَنَّ عَبْدَ اللَّهِ بْنَ عُمَرَ كَانَ إِذَا ابْتَدَأَ الصَّلَاةَ يَرْفَعُ يَدَيْهِ حَذْوَ مَنْكِبَيْهِ، وَإِذَا رَفَعَ رَأْسَهُ مِنَ الرُّكُوعِ رَفَعَهُمَا دُونَ ذَلِكَ ، قَالَ أَبُو دَاوُد: لَمْ يَذْكُرْ رَفَعَهُمَا دُونَ ذَلِكَ أَحَدٌ غَيْرُ مَالِكٍ فِيمَا أَعْلَمُ.
