Chapter: Someone whose miscarried child dies

بَابُ مَنْ مَاتَ لَهُ سَقْطٌ

Al-Adab Al-Mufrad 152

Sahl ibn al-Hanzala, who had no children, said, "I would prefer to have a miscarried child while I am a Muslim and resign that child to Allah than to have the entire world and what it contains."

سہیل ابن الحنظلیہ سے مروی ہے، اور ان کے ہاں اولاد نہیں ہوتی تھی، انہوں نے کہا:اگر زمانہ اسلام میں میرا ایک ادھورا بچہ بھی پیدا ہو جائے اور میں اللہ کے ہاں اس کے ثواب کا یقین و امید کرلوں تو یہ مجھے ساری دنیا اور جو کچھ اس میں ہے اس سے زیادہ محبوب ہے۔

Suhail ibn al-Hanzaliyah se marvi hai, aur un ke han aulad nahin hoti thi, unhon ne kaha: Agar zamana Islam mein mera ek adhura bachcha bhi paida ho jaye aur mein Allah ke han us ke sawab ka yaqeen o umeed kar lun to yeh mujhe sari duniya aur jo kuchh us mein hai us se ziada mahboob hai.

حَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ يَزِيدَ، قَالَ‏:‏ حَدَّثَنَا صَدَقَةُ بْنُ خَالِدٍ قَالَ‏:‏ حَدَّثَنِي يَزِيدُ بْنُ أَبِي مَرْيَمَ، عَنْ أُمِّهِ، عَنْ سَهْلِ بْنِ الْحَنْظَلِيَّةِ، وَكَانَ لاَ يُولَدُ لَهُ، فَقَالَ‏:‏ لأَنْ يُولَدَ لِي فِي الإِسْلاَمِ وَلَدٌ سَقْطٌ فَأَحْتَسِبَهُ، أَحَبُّ إِلَيَّ مِنْ أَنْ يكُونَ لِيَ الدُّنْيَا جَمِيعًا وَمَا فِيهَا وَكَانَ ابْنُ الْحَنْظَلِيَّةِ مِمَّنْ بَايَعَ تَحْتَ الشَّجَرَةِ‏.‏

Al-Adab Al-Mufrad 153

'Abdullah reported that the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, said, "Which of you prefers the money of heirs to his own money?" "Messenger of Allah," they replied, "there is none of us who does not prefer his own wealth to that of his heirs." The Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, said, "Know that there is not one of you who does not prefer his heirs' money to his own. Your wealth is what you have spent (for Allah) and the wealth of your heirs is what you leave."


Grade: Sahih

حضرت عبداللہ بن مسعود رضی اللہ عنہ سے روایت ہے کہ رسول اللہ ﷺ نے فرمایا:’’تم میں سے کون ہے جسے اپنے وارث کا مال اپنے مال سے زیادہ محبوب ہو؟‘‘ صحابہ نے عرض کیا:اللہ کے رسول! ہم میں سے ہر ایک کو اپنا مال وارث کے مال سے زیادہ عزیز ہے۔ تب رسول اللہ ﷺ نے فرمایا:’’جان لو کہ تم میں سے کوئی ایک بھی نہیں جس کو اپنا مال وارث کے مال سے زیادہ محبوب ہو۔ تمہارا مال وہ ہے جو تم نے (اللہ کی راہ میں خرچ کرکے)آگے بھیج دیا اور وارث کا مال وہ ہے جو تم نے اس دنیا میں چھوڑ دیا۔‘‘

Hazrat Abdullah bin Masood Raziallahu Anhu se riwayat hai ki Rasool Allah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne farmaya: ''Tum mein se kaun hai jise apne waris ka maal apne maal se zyada mehboob ho?'' Sahaba ne arz kiya: ''Allah ke Rasool! Hum mein se har ek ko apna maal waris ke maal se zyada azeez hai.'' Tab Rasool Allah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne farmaya: ''Jaan lo ki tum mein se koi ek bhi nahin jis ko apna maal waris ke maal se zyada mehboob ho. Tumhara maal woh hai jo tumne (Allah ki raah mein kharch karke) aage bhej diya aur waris ka maal woh hai jo tumne is duniya mein chhor diya.''

حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ سَلاَمٍ، قَالَ‏:‏ أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو مُعَاوِيَةَ، قَالَ‏:‏ حَدَّثَنَا الأَعْمَشُ، عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ التَّيْمِيِّ، عَنِ الْحَارِثِ بْنِ سُوَيْدٍ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ قَالَ‏:‏ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم‏:‏ أَيُّكُمْ مَالُ وَارِثِهِ أَحَبُّ إِلَيْهِ مِنْ مَالِهِ‏؟‏ قَالُوا‏:‏ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ، مَا مِنَّا مِنْ أَحَدٍ إِلاَّ مَالُهُ أَحَبُّ إِلَيْهِ مِنْ مَالِ وَارِثِهِ، فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم‏:‏ اعْلَمُوا أَنَّهُ لَيْسَ مِنْكُمْ أَحَدٌ إِلاَّ مَالُ وَارِثِهِ أَحَبُّ إِلَيْهِ مِنْ مَالِهِ، مَالُكَ مَا قَدَّمْتَ، وَمَالُ وَارِثِكَ مَا أَخَّرْتَ‏.‏

Al-Adab Al-Mufrad 154

He said that the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, said, "Who do you reckon to be the childless among you?" They said, "They are those who do not have any children." No," he said, "The childless are those who have not sent any of their children ahead (i.e. none of their children have died)."


Grade: Sahih

حضرت عبداللہ رضی اللہ عنہ ہی سے روایت ہے کہ رسول اللہ ﷺ نے فرمایا:’’تم رقوب کسے کہتے ہو؟‘‘ انہوں نے عرض کیا:جس کی اولاد نہ ہو وہ رقوب ہے۔ آپ نے فرمایا:’’حقیقتاً لا ولد وہ ہے جس نے کسی اولاد کو آگے نہ بھیجا ہو۔‘‘

Hazrat Abdullah Razi Allah Anhu se riwayat hai ki Rasul Allah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne farmaya: Tum Raqoob kise kehte ho? Unhon ne arz kiya: Jis ki aulad na ho woh Raqoob hai. Aap ne farmaya: Haqiqatan Laa Walad woh hai jisne kisi aulad ko aage na bheja ho.

قَالَ‏:‏ وَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم‏:‏ مَا تَعُدُّونَ فِيكُمُ الرَّقُوبَ‏؟‏ قَالُوا‏:‏ الرَّقُوبُ الَّذِي لاَ يُولَدُ لَهُ، قَالَ‏:‏ لاَ، وَلَكِنَّ الرَّقُوبَ الَّذِي لَمْ يُقَدِّمْ مِنْ وَلَدِهِ شَيْئًا‏.‏

Al-Adab Al-Mufrad 155

He reported that the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, said, "Who do you reckon to be the one who most often throws people down (in a fight)?" They replied, "The one whom men do not throw down." He said, "No the one who throws people down is the person who controls himself when he is angry."


Grade: Sahih

حضرت عبداللہ رضی اللہ عنہ سے روایت ہے کہ رسول اکرم ﷺ نے فرمایا:’’تم پہلوان کسے کہتے ہو؟‘‘ صحابہ نے عرض کیا:وہ جس کو کوئی دوسرا شخص پچھاڑ نہ سکے۔ آپ نے فرمایا:نہیں، حقیقی پہلوان وہ ہے جو غیظ و غصب کے وقت اپنے آپ کو قابو میں رکھے۔‘‘

Hazrat Abdullah Raziallahu Anhu se riwayat hai ki Rasul Akram (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne farmaya: ''Tum pehlwan kise kehte ho?'' Sahaba ne arz kiya: Woh jis ko koi dusra shakhs pachhad na sake. Aap ne farmaya: Nahin, haqiqi pehlwan woh hai jo ghiz o ghusse ke waqt apne aap ko qaboo mein rakhe.''

قَالَ‏:‏ وَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم‏:‏ مَا تَعُدُّونَ فِيكُمُ الصُّرَعَةَ‏؟‏ قَالُوا‏:‏ هُوَ الَّذِي لاَ تَصْرَعُهُ الرِّجَالُ، فَقَالَ‏:‏ لاَ، وَلَكِنَّ الصُّرَعَةَ الَّذِي يَمْلِكُ نَفْسَهُ عِنْدَ الْغَضَبِ‏.‏
