Abdullah bin Ya'sar (may Allah have mercy on him) narrates that once he was sitting with Sulaiman bin Sard (may Allah be pleased with him) and Khalid bin Urfata (may Allah be pleased with him) and they were intending to attend the funeral of a man who had died of a stomach ailment. One of them said to the other, "Did the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) not say that the one who dies of a stomach ailment will not be punished in the grave?". The other replied, "Yes, he did."

عبداللہ بن یسار رحمہ اللہ کہتے ہیں کہ ایک مرتبہ حضرت سلیمان بن صرد رضی اللہ عنہ اور خالد بن عرفطہ رضی اللہ عنہ کی پاس بیٹھا ہوا تھا وہ دونوں پیٹ کے مرض میں مبتلا ہو کر مرنے والے ایک آدمی کے جنازے میں شرکت کا ارادہ رکھتے تھے اسی دوران ایک نے دوسرے سے کہا کہ کیا نبی کریم ﷺ نے یہ نہیں فرمایا کہ جو شخص پیٹ کی بیماری میں مبتلا ہو کر مرے اسے قبر میں عذاب نہیں ہوگا؟ دوسرے نے کہا کیوں نہیں۔
Abdullah bin Yasar rahmatullah alaih kehte hain ke ek martaba Hazrat Sulaiman bin Sard (رضي الله تعالى عنه) aur Khalid bin Arfatha (رضي الله تعالى عنه) ki paas baitha hua tha woh donon pet ke marz mein مبتلا ho kar marne wale ek aadmi ke janaze mein shirkat ka irada rakhte the isi dauran ek ne dusre se kaha ke kya Nabi Kareem (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne ye nahin farmaya ke jo shakhs pet ki bimari mein مبتلا ho kar mare use qabar mein azab nahin hoga? Dusre ne kaha kyun nahin.

Abu Ishaq (may Allah have mercy on him) narrates: When a righteous man passed away and his body was being taken out for funeral, we met Khalid bin Walid (may Allah be pleased with him) and Sulaiman bin Sard (may Allah be pleased with him) upon returning. Both of them were companions of the Prophet (peace be upon him). They said, "Did you offer the funeral prayer for this righteous man before we arrived?" The people replied, "He had passed away due to a stomach ailment and we feared the body might decompose due to the heat." Upon this, one of them looked at the other and said, "Didn't you hear the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) saying that the one who dies due to a stomach ailment wouldn't be punished in the grave?" The other one replied, "Why not (of course I did)."

ابواسحاق رحمہ اللہ کہتے ہیں کہ ایک نیک آدمی فوت ہو یا ان کے جنازے کو باہر لایا گیا واپسی پر ہماری ملاقات حضرت خالد بن عرفطہ رضی اللہ عنہ اور سلیمان بن صرد رضی اللہ عنہ سے ہوگئی یہ دونوں حضرات صحابی تھے انہوں نے فرمایا کہ اس نیک آدمی کا جنازہ ہمارے آنے سے پہلے ہی تم لوگوں نے پڑھ لیا لوگوں نے عرض کیا کہ یہ پیٹ کی بیماری میں مبتلا ہو کر فوت ہوا تھا گرمی کی وجہ سے لاش کو نقصان پہنچنے کا خطرہ تھا تو ان میں سے ایک نے دوسرے کو دیکھ کر کہا کیا آپ نے نبی کریم ﷺ کو یہ فرماتے ہوئے نہیں سنا کہ جو شخص پیٹ کی بیماری میں مبتلا ہو کر مرے اسے قبر میں عذاب نہیں ہوگا؟ دوسرے نے کہا کیوں نہیں۔
