It is narrated on the authority of Qais bin Saad (may Allah be pleased with him) that before the order of Zakat was revealed, the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) used to order the payment of Sadaqah al-Fitr. When the order of Zakat was revealed, we were neither forbidden from it nor ordered to pay it, but we continued to pay it. And before the order of fasting in the month of Ramadan was revealed, the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) ordered us to fast on the day of Ashura. When the order of fasting in the month of Ramadan was revealed, the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) neither ordered us to fast on the day of Ashura nor forbade us from it, but we ourselves continued to fast.

حضرت قیس بن سعد رضی اللہ عنہ سے مروی ہے کہ زکوٰۃ کا حکم نازل ہونے سے پہلے نبی کریم ﷺ صدقہ فطر کی ادائیگی کا حکم دیتے تھے جب زکوٰۃ کا حکم نازل ہوگیا تو ہمیں اس سے منع کیا گیا اور نہ حکم دیا گیا البتہ ہم اسے ادا کرتے رہے اور ماہ رمضان کے روزوں کا حکم نازل ہونے سے پہلے نبی کریم ﷺ نے ہمیں یوم عاشورہ کا روزہ رکھنے کا حکم دیا تھا جب ماہ رمضان کے روزوں کا حکم نازل ہوا تو نبی کریم ﷺ نے ہمیں عاشورہ کا روزہ رکھنے کا حکم دیا اور نہ ہی روکا البتہ ہم خود ہی رکھتے رہے۔
Hazrat Qais bin Saad Raziallahu Anhu se marvi hai ki zakat ka hukum nazil hone se pehle Nabi Kareem (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) sadqa fitr ki adaygi ka hukum dete thay jab zakat ka hukum nazil hogaya to humein is se mana kya gaya aur na hukum diya gaya albatta hum ise ada karte rahe aur mah e Ramzan ke rozon ka hukum nazil hone se pehle Nabi Kareem (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne humein youm e Ashura ka roza rakhne ka hukum diya tha jab mah e Ramzan ke rozon ka hukum nazil hua to Nabi Kareem (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne humein Ashura ka roza rakhne ka hukum diya aur na hi roka albatta hum khud hi rakhte rahe.
It is narrated on the authority of Qais (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said, “Whoever considers his ruler to be right in his disobedience to Allah, Allah will weaken his resolve on the Day of Judgment.”

حضرت قیس رضی اللہ عنہ سے مروی ہے کہ نبی کریم ﷺ نے فرمایا جو شخص اللہ کی نافرمانی پر اپنے حکمران کو درست قرار دیتا ہے قیامت کے دن اللہ اس کی تدبیر کو کمزور کر دے گا۔
Hazrat Qais razi Allah anhu se marvi hai ke Nabi Kareem (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne farmaya jo shakhs Allah ki nafarmani par apne hakumran ko durust qarar deta hai qayamat ke din Allah uski tadbeer ko kamzor kar de ga.
Sahal bin Hanif (may Allah be pleased with him) and Qais bin Saad (may Allah be pleased with him) were once sitting in Qadisiyah. Meanwhile, some people passed by, carrying a funeral. Both of them stood up. Someone said that the deceased was from among the people of this area. They said that once some people passed by the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) carrying a funeral, and the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) stood up. Someone said that the deceased was a Jew. The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said, "Was he not a human being?"

حضرت سہل بن حنیف رضی اللہ عنہ اور قیس بن سعد رضی اللہ عنہ ایک مرتبہ قادسیہ میں بیٹھے ہوئے تھے اسی اثناء میں کچھ لوگ ایک جنازہ لے کر گذرے یہ دونوں کھڑے ہوگئے کسی نے کہا کہ یہ اسی علاقے کے رہنے والوں میں سے تھا انہوں نے فرمایا کہ ایک مرتبہ کچھ لوگ نبی کریم ﷺ کے پاس سے ایک جنازہ لے کر گذرے تو نبی کریم ﷺ کھڑے ہوگئے کسی نے کہا کہ یہ تو یہودی تھا نبی کریم ﷺ نے فرمایا کیا وہ انسان نہیں تھا۔
Hazrat Sahal bin Hanif (رضي الله تعالى عنه) aur Qais bin Saad (رضي الله تعالى عنه) ek martaba Qadisiyah mein baithe huye thay isi asna mein kuch log ek janaza lekar guzre yeh donon khare hogaye kisi ne kaha ki yeh isi ilaqe ke rehne walon mein se tha unhon ne farmaya ki ek martaba kuch log Nabi Kareem (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ke pass se ek janaza lekar guzre to Nabi Kareem (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) khare hogaye kisi ne kaha ki yeh to yahudi tha Nabi Kareem (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne farmaya kya wo insan nahin tha
It is narrated on the authority of Qais bin Saad (may Allah be pleased with him) that before the order of Zakat was revealed, the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) had ordered the payment of Sadaqah al-Fitr. It is narrated by Qais bin Saad (may Allah be pleased with him) that once the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) came to our place and we kept water for him to bathe. The Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) took a bath. Then we took a sheet dyed with saffron to the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him), which the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) wrapped around himself. Its marks that fell on the lines of the Holy Prophet's (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) belly are still before my eyes. Then we brought a donkey to serve the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) for riding, so the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said, "The owner of the ride is more deserving of sitting in the front." We said, "O Messenger of Allah! Then this ride is yours."

حضرت قیس بن سعد رضی اللہ عنہ سے مروی ہے کہ ایک مرتبہ نبی کریم ﷺ ہمارے یہاں تشریف لائے ہم نے نبی کریم ﷺ کے لئے غسل کا پانی رکھا نبی کریم ﷺ نے غسل کیا پھر ہم اس سے رنگا ہو ایک لحاف لے کر نبی کریم ﷺ کے پاس آئے جسے نبی کریم ﷺ نے اپنے اوپر لپیٹ لیا اس کے نشانات جو نبی کریم ﷺ کے پیٹ کی سلوٹوں پر پڑے تو اس کا منظر اب تک میری نگاہوں کے سامنے ہے پھر ہم سواری کے لئے نبی کریم ﷺ کی خدمت میں ایک گدھا لے کر آئے تو نبی کریم ﷺ نے فرمایا سواری کا مالک آگے بیٹھنے کا زیادہ حقدار ہے ہم نے عرض کیا یا رسول اللہ! پھر یہ سواری آپ ہی کی ہے۔
Hazrat Qais bin Saad (رضي الله تعالى عنه) se marvi hai ki ek martaba Nabi Kareem (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) humare yahan tashreef laaye hum ne Nabi Kareem (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ke liye ghusl ka pani rakha Nabi Kareem (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne ghusl kiya phir hum us se ranga hua ek lihaf lekar Nabi Kareem (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ke paas aaye jise Nabi Kareem (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne apne upar lapet liya us ke nishanat jo Nabi Kareem (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ke pet ki silwaton par pade to us ka manzar ab tak meri nigaahon ke samne hai phir hum sawari ke liye Nabi Kareem (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ki khidmat mein ek gadha lekar aaye to Nabi Kareem (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne farmaya sawari ka malik aage baithne ka zyada haqdaar hai hum ne arz kiya Ya Rasulullah phir yeh sawari aap hi ki hai.
