Hadith of Dhuba'ah bint al-Zubayr (may Allah be pleased with her)

حَدِيثُ ضُبَاعَةَ بِنْتِ الزُّبَيْرِ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهَا

Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 27030

It is narrated on the authority of Ibn 'Abbas (may Allah be pleased with him) that once, Duba'ah bint Zubair bin 'Abd al-Muttalib came to the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him). She was ill. The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) asked her, "Will you not accompany us on this journey?" The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) intended to perform the Farewell Pilgrimage. She submitted: "O Messenger of Allah! I am ill. I fear that my illness may not hinder you." The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "Enter into the state of Ihram for Hajj with the intention that O Allah! wherever You prevent me, that will be the place where my Ihram will be undone."

حضرت ابن عباس رضی اللہ عنہما سے مروی ہے کہ نبی ﷺ کے پاس ایک مرتبہ ضباعہ بنت زبیر بن عبد المطلب آئیں، وہ بیمار تھیں، نبی ﷺ نے ان سے پوچھا: ”کیا تم اس سفر میں ہمارے ساتھ نہیں چلو گی؟“ نبی ﷺ کا ارادہ حجۃ الوداع کا تھا، انہوں نے عرض کیا: یا رسول اللہ! میں بیمار ہوں، مجھے خطرہ ہے کہ میری بیماری آپ کو روک نہ دے، نبی ﷺ نے فرمایا: ”تم حج کا احرام باندھ لو اور یہ نیت کر لو کہ اے اللہ! جہاں تو مجھے روک دے گا، وہی جگہ میرے احرام کھل جانے کی ہو گی۔“

Hazrat Ibn Abbas razi Allah anhuma se marvi hai ke Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ke pass ek martaba Zabua Bint Zubair bin Abdul Muttalib aayin, woh bimaar thin, Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne unse pucha: ”kia tum is safar mein humare sath nahin chalo gi? Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ka irada Hajj alwida ka tha, unhon ne arz kiya: Ya Rasulullah! mein bimaar hoon, mujhe khatra hai ke meri bimari aap ko rok na de, Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne farmaya: ”tum Hajj ka ehram bandh lo aur ye niyat kar lo ke aye Allah! jahan tu mujhe rok dega, wahi jagah mere ehram khul jane ki ho gi.

حَدَّثَنَا عَبَّادُ بْنُ الْعَوَّامِ ، عَنْ هِلَالٍ يَعْنِي ابْنَ خَبَّابٍ ، عَنْ عِكْرِمَةَ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ , أَنَّ ضُبَاعَةَ بِنْتَ الزُّبَيْرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الْمُطَّلِبِ , أَتَتْ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، فَقَالَتْ: يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ، إِنِّي أُرِيدُ أَنْ أَحُجَّ، فَأَشْتَرِطُ؟ قَالَ:" نَعَمْ" , قَالَتْ: فَكَيْفَ أَقُولُ؟ قَالَ: " قُولِي لَبَّيْكَ اللَّهُمَّ لَبَّيْكَ، مَحِلِّي مِنَ الْأَرْضِ حَيْثُ تَحْبِسُنِي" .

Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 27031

Lady Duba'ah bint Zubair (may Allah be pleased with her) narrated that once she slaughtered a goat in her house. The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) sent her a message, requesting her to send some of the meat. She told the messenger, "By Allah, there is nothing left but the neck, and I feel ashamed to send this to the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him)." The messenger went back and told the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him). The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said, "Go back to her and tell her to send the neck, for it is a good part of the goat; it is close to goodness and far from filth."

حضرت ضباعہ بنت زبیر رضی اللہ عنہا سے مروی ہے کہ ایک مرتبہ انہوں نے اپنے گھر میں ایک بکری ذبح کی، تو نبی ﷺ نے ان کے پاس پیغام بھیجا کہ اپنی بکری میں سے ہمیں بھی کچھ کھلانا، انہوں نے قاصد سے کہا کہ واللہ! اب تو ہمارے پاس صرف گردن بچی ہے اور وہ نبی ﷺ کے یہاں بھیجتے ہوئے مجھے شرم آ رہی ہے، قاصد نے واپس جا کر نبی ﷺ کو یہ بات بتا دی، نبی ﷺ نے فرمایا: ”ان کے پاس جاؤ اور ان سے کہو کہ گردن ہی بھیج دو، وہ بکری کا اچھا حصہ ہوتا ہے، خیر کے قریب ہوتا ہے اور گندگی سے دور ہوتا ہے۔“

Hazrat Zubayyah Bint Zubair Radi Allaho Anha se marvi hai ki aik martaba unhon ne apne ghar mein aik bakri zibah ki, to Nabi Sallallaho Alaihe Wasallam ne un ke pass paigham bheja ki apni bakri mein se humein bhi kuchh khilana, unhon ne qasid se kaha ki Wallahi! ab to humare pass sirf gardan bachi hai aur wo Nabi Sallallaho Alaihe Wasallam ke yahan bhejte huye mujhe sharam aa rahi hai, qasid ne wapas ja kar Nabi Sallallaho Alaihe Wasallam ko ye baat bata di, Nabi Sallallaho Alaihe Wasallam ne farmaya: "Un ke pass jao aur un se kaho ki gardan hi bhej do, wo bakri ka achha hissa hota hai, khair ke qareeb hota hai aur gandigi se door hota hai."

حَدَّثَنَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنِي ابْنُ مُبَارَكٍ ، عَنْ أُسَامَةَ بْنِ زَيْدٍ , وَعَلِيُّ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ , قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ ، قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنَا أُسَامَةُ بْنُ زَيْدٍ ، عَنِ الْفَضْلِ بْنِ الْفَضْلِ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ الْأَعْرَجِ ، عَنْ ضُبَاعَةَ بِنْتِ الزُّبَيْرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الْمُطَّلِبِ , أَنَّهَا ذَبَحَتْ فِي بَيْتِهَا شَاةً، فَأَرْسَلَ إِلَيْهَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنْ أَطْعِمِينَا مِنْ شَاتِكُمْ , فَقَالَتْ لِلرَّسُولِ: وَاللَّهِ مَا بَقِيَ عِنْدَنَا إِلَّا الرَّقَبَةُ، وَإِنِّي أَسْتَحِي أَنْ أُرْسِلَ إِلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بِالرَّقَبَةِ، فَرَجَعَ الرَّسُولُ، فَأَخْبَرَ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَقَالَ: " ارْجِعْ إِلَيْهَا، فَقُلْ لَهَا أَرْسِلِي بِهَا، فَإِنَّهَا هَادِيَةٌ، وَأَقْرَبُ الشَّاةِ إِلَى الْخَيْرِ، وَأَبْعَدُهَا مِنَ الْأَذَى" .
