It is narrated on the authority of Hazrat Muhajir that once I was in the service of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) when the prayer commenced. I sat down on one side. When the prayer was over, the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said to me: "Are you not a Muslim?" I said: "Why not?" The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "Then why did you not pray with the people?" I said: "I had already prayed at home." The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "Even though you have prayed at home, you should still join the people in prayer."

سیدنا محجن سے مروی ہے کہ ایک مرتبہ میں نبی ﷺ کی خدمت میں حاضر ہوا نماز کھڑی ہو گئی تو میں ایک طرف کو بیٹھ گیا نماز سے فارغ ہو کر نبی ﷺ نے مجھ سے فرمایا: کیا تم مسلمان نہیں ہو میں نے عرض کیا: کیوں نہیں نبی ﷺ نے فرمایا کہ تو پھر تم نے لوگوں کے ساتھ نماز کیوں نہیں پڑھی میں نے عرض کیا: کہ میں نے گھر میں نماز پڑھ لی تھی نبی ﷺ نے فرمایا: تم نے اگرچہ گھر میں نماز پڑھ لی ہو تب بھی لوگوں کے ساتھ نماز میں شریک ہو جایا کر و۔
Sayidna Muhajjin se marvi hai ki ek martaba mein Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ki khidmat mein hazir hua namaz khadi ho gayi to mein ek taraf ko baith gaya namaz se farigh ho kar Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne mujh se farmaya kya tum musalman nahin ho mein ne arz kiya kyun nahin Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne farmaya ki tum phir tum ne logon ke sath namaz kyun nahin parhi mein ne arz kiya ki mein ne ghar mein namaz parh li thi Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne farmaya tum ne agarche ghar mein namaz parh li ho tab bhi logon ke sath namaz mein sharik ho jaya karo
Narrated Mujjan: Once I went to the Prophet (ﷺ) and when the prayer was ready, I sat down on one side. When the Prophet (ﷺ) finished the prayer, he said to me: "Are you not a Muslim?" I said: "Why not?" He said: "Why then did you not pray with the people?" I said: "I prayed in my house." The Prophet (ﷺ) said: "Even if you prayed at home, you should join the people in prayer."
