Narrated Sa'b bin Jaththama (RA): Once the Prophet (ﷺ) passed by me at a place called Abwa' or Waddan, and he was in the state of Ihram. I presented to him the gift of a roasted wild ass. But the Prophet (ﷺ) returned it to me. When he (ﷺ) noticed signs of sorrow on my face, he said, "There is no reason to return it to you except that we are in the state of Ihram." I heard the Prophet (ﷺ) saying, "None has the right to declare a thing unlawful except Allah or His Apostle." The Prophet (ﷺ) was asked about the families of the pagans who were attacked by Muslims at night. (The sub-narrator added, "Those pagans were killed and their women and children were taken as captives.") The Prophet (ﷺ) said, "They (i.e., women and children) are from them (i.e., pagans)."

سیدنا صعب بن جثامہ رضی اللہ عنہ سے مروی ہے کہ ایک مرتبہ نبی ﷺ میرے پاس سے گزرے، میں اس وقت مقام ابواء یا ودان میں تھا، نبی ﷺ احرام کی حالت میں تھے، میں نے آپ کی خدمت میں جنگلی گدھے کا گوشت ہدیۃ پیش کیا، لیکن نبی ﷺ نے وہ مجھے واپس کر دیا اور میرے چہرے پر غمگینی کے آثار دیکھے تو فرمایا کہ اسے واپس کرنے کی اور کوئی وجہ نہیں ہے، سوائے اس کے کہ ہم محرم ہیں۔ اور میں نے نبی ﷺ کو یہ فرماتے ہوئے سنا ہے کہ کسی علاقے کو ممنوعہ علاقہ قرار دینا اللہ اور اس کے رسول کے علاوہ کسی کے لئے جائز نہیں۔ اور نبی ﷺ سے ان مشرکین کے اہل خانہ کے متعلق پوچھا: گیا جن پر شب خون مارا جائے اور اس دوران ان کی عورتیں اور بچے بھی مارے جائیں؟ تو نبی ﷺ نے فرمایا: وہ (عورتیں اور بچے) بھی مشرکین ہی کے ہیں (اس لئے مشرکین ہی میں شمار ہوں گے)۔
Sayyidana Saab bin Jussama RA se marvi hai ki ek martaba Nabi SAW mere pass se guzre, main us waqt maqam Abwa ya Wadaan mein tha, Nabi SAW ehram ki halat mein the, maine aap ki khidmat mein jangli gadhe ka gosht hadiya pesh kiya, lekin Nabi SAW ne woh mujhe wapas kar diya aur mere chehre par ghamgini ke asar dekhe to farmaya ki ise wapas karne ki aur koi waja nahi hai, siwaye is ke ki hum muhrim hain. Aur maine Nabi SAW ko ye farmate huye suna hai ki kisi ilaqe ko mamnuah ilaqa qarar dena Allah aur uske rasool ke ilawa kisi ke liye jaiz nahi. Aur Nabi SAW se in mushrikeen ke ahl khana ke mutalliq poocha: gaya jin par shab khoon mara jaye aur is dauran un ki aurten aur bache bhi mare jayen? To Nabi SAW ne farmaya: woh (aurten aur bache) bhi mushrikeen hi ke hain (is liye mushrikeen hi mein shumar honge).
Narrated Sa'b bin Jaththama (RA): Once the Prophet (ﷺ) passed by me while I was in Abwa' or Widan. The Prophet (ﷺ) was in the state of Ihram. I presented to him the gift of a wild ass's meat, but the Prophet (ﷺ) returned it to me. And seeing the signs of sorrow on my face, he (ﷺ) said, 'There is no reason to return it except that we are in the state of Ihram.'

It is narrated on the authority of Sayyiduna Sa'b bin Juthama (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) was asked about the families of the polytheists upon whom a surprise attack is made and during which their women and children are also killed. So the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "They (women and children) also belong to the polytheists (therefore, they will be counted among the polytheists)."

Sayyidna Sab bin Jushamah (رضي الله تعالى عنه) se marvi hai ki Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) se in mushrikeen ke ahl e khana ke mutalliq poocha gaya jin par shab e khoon mara jaye aur is dauran un ki auratain aur bachay bhi maare jayen to Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne farmaya woh auratain aur bachay bhi mushrikeen hi ke hain is liye mushrikeen hi mein shumar honge.
It is narrated on the authority of Sayyiduna Saab bin Jussama, may Allah be pleased with him, that I heard the Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, saying that it is not permissible for anyone except Allah and His Messenger to declare any area as a sanctuary.

Sayyidna Saab bin Jushamah (رضي الله تعالى عنه) se marvi hai ki maine Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ko ye farmate huye suna hai ki kisi ilaqe ko mamnuah ilaqa qarar dena Allah aur uske Rasul ke ilawa kisi ke liye jaiz nahi.
It is narrated by Sayyiduna Sa'b bin Jussama, may Allah be pleased with him, that the Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, was asked about the families of the polytheists on whom a night raid is conducted and their women and children are also killed during it. The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "They (women and children) are from among the polytheists (so they will be counted as polytheists)."

Sa'd ibn Jithamah (may Allah be pleased with him) reported: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) passed by me while I was in Abwa' or Wadan. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) was in the state of Ihram. I offered him some wild donkey meat as a gift, but the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) returned it to me. When he (peace and blessings be upon him) saw signs of sadness on my face, he (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "I am not returning it for any other reason except that we are in the state of Ihram."
