Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 10097
Abu Khalid (may Allah have mercy on him) said that once I saw Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) praying a short prayer, so I asked him, "Did the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) also pray like this?" Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) replied, "Yes! Even shorter than this."

ابوخالد رحمہ اللہ کہتے ہیں کہ ایک مرتبہ میں نے حضرت ابوہریرہ رضی اللہ عنہ کو مختصر نماز پڑھتے ہوئے دیکھا تو ان سے پوچھا کہ کیا نبی کریم ﷺ بھی اسی طرح نماز پڑھتے تھے؟ حضرت ابوہریرہ رضی اللہ عنہ نے فرمایا ہاں! بلکہ اس سے بھی مختصر۔
Abu Khalid Rahmatullah Allah kehte hain ke ek martaba maine Hazrat Abu Hurairah (رضي الله تعالى عنه) ko mukhtasar namaz parhte hue dekha to unse pucha ke kya Nabi Kareem (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) bhi isi tarah namaz parhte thay? Hazrat Abu Hurairah (رضي الله تعالى عنه) ne farmaya haan! Balke is se bhi mukhtasar.
حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ ، حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ أَبِي خَالِدٍ ، عَنِ أَبِيهِ ، قََالَ: رَأَيْتُ أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ " صَلَّى صَلَاةً تَجَوَّزَ فِيهَا، فَقُلْتُ لَهُ: هَكَذَا كَانَ صَلَاةُ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، قَالَ: نَعَمْ , وَأَوْجَزَ" .
