Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 10958
On the authority of Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him), the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said, "Wealth does not lie in the abundance of possessions, but true wealth is the richness of the heart. By Allah, I do not fear poverty for you, but I fear that you may be granted abundance of wealth and (as a result) you may become corrupt, just as those before you were corrupted. And I do not fear that you may fall into error, but I fear that you may rush into sins (as those before you did).

حضرت ابوہریرہ رضی اللہ عنہ سے مروی ہے کہ نبی کریم ﷺ نے فرمایا مالداری سازوسامان کی کثرت سے نہیں ہوتی اصل میں مالداری تو دل کی مالداری ہوتی ہے۔ بخدا! مجھے تم پر فقروفاقہ کا اندیشہ نہیں بلکہ مجھے تم پر مال کی کثرت کا اندیشہ ہے اور مجھے تم پر غلطی کا اندیشہ نہیں بلکہ مجھے تم پر جان بوجھ کر (گناہوں میں ملوث ہونے کا) اندیشہ ہے۔
Hazrat Abu Huraira (رضي الله تعالى عنه) se marvi hai keh Nabi Kareem (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne farmaya maldari saz o saman ki kasrat se nahi hoti asl mein maldari to dil ki maldari hoti hai. Bakhuda! mujhe tum par faqr o faqah ka andesha nahi balkay mujhe tum par maal ki kasrat ka andesha hai aur mujhe tum par ghalti ka andesha nahi balkay mujhe tum par jaan boojh kar (gunahon mein mulawas hone ka) andesha hai.
حَدَّثَنَا كَثِيرٌ , حَدَّثَنَا جَعْفَرٌ , قََالَ: سَمِعْتُ يَزِيدَ بْنَ الْأَصَمِّ , يَقُولُ , قََالَ: أَبُو هُرَيْرَةَ حَدِيثٌ لَا أَحْسِبُهُ إِلَّا رَفَعَهُ إِلَى النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: " لَيْسَ الْغِنَى عَنْ كَثْرَةِ الْعَرَضِ، وَلَكِنَّ الْغِنَى غِنَى النَّفْسِ , وَاللَّهِ مَا أَخْشَى عَلَيْكُمْ الْفَقْرَ , وَلَكِنْ أَخْشَى عَلَيْكُمْ التَّكَاثُرَ , وَمَا أَخْشَى عَلَيْكُمْ الْخَطَأَ، وَلَكِنْ أَخْشَى عَلَيْكُمْ الْعَمْدَ" .
