Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 11001
It is narrated on the authority of Abu Saeed Radi Allahu Anhu that the Prophet Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam said that Witr should be offered at night.

حضرت ابوسعید رضی اللہ عنہ سے مروی ہے کہ نبی ﷺ نے فرمایا وتر رات ہی کو پڑھے جائیں۔
Hazrat Abu Saeed (رضي الله تعالى عنه) se marvi hai ki Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne farmaya witr raat hi ko parhe jayen.
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الصَّمَدِ ، حَدَّثَنَا هَمَّامٌ ، حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى ، عَنْ أَبِي نَضْرَةَ ، عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ ، أَنّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ:" الْوَتْرُ بِلَيْلٍ".
