Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 11185
It is narrated on the authority of Abu Saeed Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) loved the twig of a date-palm tree very much and used to hold it in his hand. Once the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) entered the mosque and saw some phlegm or mucus lying in the direction of the Qibla. The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) cleaned it with that twig. Then the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him), in a state of displeasure, turned towards the people and said, “Would any one of you like that someone comes and spits on his face? When one of you stands in prayer, he is facing his Lord and the angel is on his right side. So, do not spit in front or towards the right, but spit under the left foot or towards the left side. And if you are in a hurry, then rub it like this.” The narrator then spat on his clothes and showed how to rub it.

حضرت ابوسعید خدری رضی اللہ عنہ سے مروی ہے کہ نبی ﷺ کھجور کی ٹہنی کو بہت پسند فرماتے تھے اور اسے اپنے ہاتھ میں پکڑتے تھے، ایک مرتبہ نبی ﷺ مسجد میں داخل ہوئے تو قبلہ مسجد میں تھوک یا ناک کی ریزش لگی ہوئی دیکھی، نبی ﷺ نے اسے اس چھڑی سے صاف کردیا، پھر نبی ﷺ غصے کی حالت میں لوگوں کی طرف متوجہ ہوئے اور فرمایا کیا تم میں سے کوئی شخص اس بات کو پسند کرے گا کہ کوئی آدمی سامنے سے آکر اس کے چہرے پر تھوک دے؟ جب تم میں سے کوئی شخص نماز میں کھڑا ہوتا ہے تو وہ اپنے رب کے سامنے ہوتا ہے اور اس کی دائیں جانب فرشتہ ہوتا ہے، لہٰذا سامنے یا دائیں جانب نہ تھوکے، بلکہ بائیں پاؤں کے نیچے یا بائیں جانب تھوکے۔ اور اگر بہت جلدی ہو تو اس طرح کر کے مل لے، راوی نے اپنے کپڑے پر تھوک کر اسے مل کر دکھایا
Hazrat Abu Saeed Khudri (رضي الله تعالى عنه) se marvi hai ki Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) khajoor ki tehni ko bahut pasand farmate thy aur ise apne hath mein pakarte thy, aik martaba Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) masjid mein dakhil huay to qibla masjid mein thook ya naak ki raeesh lagi hui dekhi, Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne ise is chhari se saaf kar diya, phir Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ghusse ki halat mein logon ki taraf mutawajjah huay aur farmaya kya tum mein se koi shakhs is baat ko pasand karega ki koi aadmi samne se aakar uske chehre par thook de? Jab tum mein se koi shakhs namaz mein khara hota hai to woh apne Rab ke samne hota hai aur uski dayen janib farishta hota hai, lihaza samne ya dayen janib na thooke, balki baen paon ke neeche ya baen janib thooke. Aur agar bahut jaldi ho to is tarah kar ke mal le, ravi ne apne kapre par thook kar ise mal kar dikhaaya.
حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَجْلَانَ ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنِي عِيَاضُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ، عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيِّ ، أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ كَانَ يُعْجِبُهُ الْعَرَاجِينُ أَنْ يُمْسِكَهَا بِيَدِهِ، فَدَخَلَ الْمَسْجِدَ ذَاتَ يَوْمٍ وَفِي يَدِهِ واحِدٌ مِنْهَا، فَرَأَى نُخَامَاتٍ فِي قِبْلَةِ الْمَسْجِدِ، فَحَتَّهُنَّ بِهِ حَتَّى أَنْقَاهُنَّ، ثُمَّ أَقْبَلَ عَلَى النَّاسِ مُغْضَبًا، فَقَالَ:" أَيُحِبُّ أَحَدُكُمْ أَنْ يَسْتَقْبِلَهُ رَجُلٌ فَيَبْصُقَ فِي وَجْهِهِ، إِنَّ أَحَدَكُمْ إِذَا قَامَ إِلَى الصَّلَاةِ فَإِنَّمَا يَسْتَقْبِلُ رَبَّهُ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ، وَالْمَلَكُ عَنْ يَمِينِهِ، فَلَا يَبْصُقْ بَيْنَ يَدَيْهِ وَلَا عَنْ يَمِينِهِ، وَلْيَبْصُقْ تَحْتَ قَدَمِهِ الْيُسْرَى أَوْ عَنْ يَسَارِهِ، فَإِنْ عَجِلَتْ بِهِ بَادِرَةٌ فَلْيَقُلْ هَكَذَا" وَرَدَّ بَعْضَهُ عَلَى بَعْضٍ، وَتَفَلَ يَحْيَى فِي ثَوْبِهِ، وَدَلَكَهُ.
