Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 11196
Abu Sa'id Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: “My Ummah will be divided into seventy-three sects, and all of them will be in the Fire except for one.” They asked, “O Messenger of Allah, which one?” He said: “[The one] upon which I and my Companions are [upon].” And in another narration: “They are those who are upon what I am upon, and my Companions.” And it was said: “It is the victorious group.” And in the narration of al-Tirmidhi (2641): “It is the largest group.” And in another narration, the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: “My Ummah will split into two groups, and a group will emerge between the two, and the group closer to the truth between the two will kill them.”

حضرت ابوسعید خدری رضی اللہ عنہ سے مروی ہے کہ نبی ﷺ نے فرمایا میری امت دو فرقوں میں بٹ جائے گی اور ان دونوں کے درمیان ایک گروہ نکلے گا جسے ان دو فرقوں میں سے حق کے زیادہ قریب فرقہ قتل کرے گا
Hazrat Abu Saeed Khudri Razi Allah Anhu se marvi hai ke Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne farmaya meri ummat do firqon mein bat jayegi aur in donon ke darmiyan ek giroh niklega jise in do firqon mein se haq ke ziada qareeb firqa qatl karega.
حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى عَنْ عَوْفٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو نَضْرَةَ ، عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ ، قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ:" يَفْتَرِقُ أُمَّتِي فِرْقَتَيْنِ، فَيَتَمَرَّقُ بَيْنَهُمَا مَارِقَةٌ يَقْتُلُهَا أَوْلَى الطَّائِفَتَيْنِ بِالْحَقِّ".
