Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 11255
It is narrated on the authority of Abu Saeed Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: No one of you should consider himself so insignificant that he has the right to say something for the sake of Allah's pleasure, but he does not say it, because Allah will ask him, "What prevented you from saying this?" The servant will say, "O Lord! I was afraid of the people." Allah will say, "I was more deserving that you should have feared Me."

حضرت ابوسعید خدری رضی اللہ عنہ سے مروی ہے کہ نبی ﷺ نے فرمایا تم میں سے کوئی شخص اپنے آپ کو اتنا حقیر نہ سمجھے کہ اس پر اللہ کی رضاء کے لئے کوئی بات کہنے کا حق ہو لیکن وہ اسے کہہ نہ سکے، کیوں کہ اللہ اس سے پوچھے گا کہ تجھے یہ بات کہنے سے کس چیز نے روکا تھا؟ بندہ کہے گا کہ پروردگار! میں لوگوں سے ڈرتا تھا اللہ فرمائے گا کہ میں اس بات کا زیادہ حقدار ہوں تھا کہ تو مجھ سے ڈرتا
Hazrat Abu Saeed Khudri (رضي الله تعالى عنه) se marvi hai ki Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne farmaya tum mein se koi shakhs apne aap ko itna haqir na samjhe ki us par Allah ki raza ke liye koi baat kahne ka haq ho lekin wo use keh na sake, kyunki Allah us se puchega ki tujhe ye baat kahne se kis cheez ne roka tha? Banda kahega ki Parvardigaar! mein logon se darta tha Allah farmayega ki mein is baat ka zyada haqdaar hun tha ki tu mujh se darta.
حَدَّثَنَا حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ نُمَيْرٍ ، أَنْبَأَنَا الْأَعْمَشُ ، عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ مُرَّةَ ، عَنْ أَبِي الْبَخْتَرِيِّ ، عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيِّ ، قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ:" لَا يَحْقِرَنَّ أَحَدُكُمْ نَفْسَهُ أَنْ يَرَى أَمْرًا لِلَّهِ عَلَيْهِ فِيهِ مَقَالًا، ثُمَّ لَا يَقُولُهُ، فَيَقُولُ اللَّهُ: مَا مَنَعَكَ أَنْ تَقُولَ فِيهِ؟، فَيَقُولُ: رَبي، خَشِيتُ النَّاسَ، فَيَقُولُ: وَأَنَا أَحَقُّ أَنْ يُخْشَى".
