Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 11256
It is narrated on the authority of Abu Saeed Khudri, may Allah be pleased with him, that the Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, said: The lower garment of a Muslim should be up to half of the shin. There is no harm if it is between the calf and the ankles, but the portion of the lower garment which falls below the ankles will be in Hellfire.

حضرت ابوسعید خدری رضی اللہ عنہ سے مروی ہے کہ نبی ﷺ نے فرمایا مسلمان کی تہبند نصف پنڈلی تک ہونی چاہئے، پنڈلی اور ٹخنوں کے درمیان ہونے میں کوئی حرج نہیں ہے، لیکن تہبند کا جو حصہ ٹخنوں سے نیچے ہوگا وہ جہنم میں ہوگا
Hazrat Abu Saeed Khudri (رضي الله تعالى عنه) se marvi hai ki Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne farmaya musalman ki tehband nisf pindli tak honi chahie, pindli aur takhnon ke darmiyaan hone mein koi harj nahi hai, lekin tehband ka jo hissa takhnon se neeche hoga woh jahannam mein hoga.
حَدَّثَنَا يَعْلَى بْنُ عُبَيْدٍ، حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدٌ يَعْنِي ابْنَ إِسْحَاقَ ، عَنِ الْعَلَاءِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيِّ ، قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ:" إِزْرَةُ الْمُؤْمَنِ إِلَى نِصْفِ السَّاقِ، فَمَا كَانَ إِلَى الْكَعْبِ فَلَا بَأْسَ، وَمَا كَانَ تَحْتَ الْكَعْبِ فَفِي النَّارِ".
