Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 11773
It is narrated by Abu Saeed Khudri (R.A.) that once we were sitting and waiting for the Prophet (PBUH) when he came out from the house of one of his wives. We started walking with the Prophet (PBUH), and on the way, his shoe broke. Ali (R.A.) stopped to sew the shoe, and the Prophet (PBUH) continued walking, and so did we. When we reached a place, the Prophet (PBUH) stopped and waited for Ali (R.A.), and we also stopped. In the meantime, the Prophet (PBUH) said, "There will be a man among you who will fight for the interpretation and explanation of the Holy Quran in the same way as I have fought for its revelation." Hearing this, we started looking around. At that time, Abu Bakr and Umar (R.A.) were also present among us, but the Prophet (PBUH) said, "It is the one who is sewing the shoe." On this, we went to Ali (R.A.) to tell him this good news, but it seemed as if he had already heard it.

حضرت ابوسعید خدری رضی اللہ عنہ سے مروی ہے کہ ایک مرتبہ ہم لوگ بیٹھے ہوئے نبی ﷺ کا انتظار کر رہے تھے کہ نبی ﷺ اپنی کسی اہلیہ محترمہ کے گھر سے تشریف لے آئے، ہم نبی ﷺ کے ساتھ چل پڑے، راستے میں نبی ﷺ کی جوتی ٹوٹ گئی، حضرت علی رضی اللہ عنہ رک کر جوتی سینے لگے اور نبی ﷺ آگے چل پڑے، ہم بھی چلتے رہے، ایک جگہ پہنچ کر نبی ﷺ کھڑے ہوگئے اور حضرت علی رضی اللہ عنہ کا انتظار کرنے لگے، ہم بھی کھڑے ہوگئے اسی دوران نبی ﷺ نے فرمایا تم میں ایک آدمی ایسا بھی ہوگا جو قرآن کریم کی تاویل و تفسیر پر اسی طرح قتال کرے گا جیسے میں نے اس کی تنزیل پر قتال کیا ہے، یہ سن کر ہم جھانک جھانک کر دیکھنے لگے، اس وقت ہمارے درمیان حضرت ابوبکر و عمر رضی اللہ عنہ بھی موجود تھے، لیکن نبی ﷺ نے فرمایا وہ جوتی سینے والا ہے، اس پر ہم حضرت علی رضی اللہ عنہ کو یہ خوشخبری سنانے کے لئے گیئے تو ایسا محسوس ہوا کہ جیسے انہوں نے بھی یہ بات سن لی ہے۔
Hazrat Abu Saeed Khudri (رضي الله تعالى عنه) se marvi hai ki ek martaba hum log baithe hue Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ka intezar kar rahe the ki Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) apni kisi ahliya muhtarima ke ghar se tashreef le aaye, hum Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ke sath chal pade, raste mein Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ki jooti toot gayi, Hazrat Ali (رضي الله تعالى عنه) ruk kar jooti silne lage aur Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) aage chal pade, hum bhi chalte rahe, ek jagah pahunch kar Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) khde hogaye aur Hazrat Ali (رضي الله تعالى عنه) ka intezar karne lage, hum bhi khde hogaye isi dauran Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne farmaya tum mein ek aadmi aisa bhi hoga jo Quran Kareem ki taweel o tafseer par isi tarah qital karega jaise maine iski tanzeel par qital kiya hai, yeh sunkar hum jhank jhank kar dekhne lage, iss waqt humare darmiyaan Hazrat Abubakar o Umar (رضي الله تعالى عنه) bhi maujood the, lekin Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne farmaya woh jooti silne wala hai, iss par hum Hazrat Ali (رضي الله تعالى عنه) ko yeh khushkhabri sunane ke liye gaye to aisa mehsoos hua jaise unhon ne bhi yeh baat sun li hai.
حَدَّثَنَا حُسَيْنُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا فِطْرٌ ، عَنْ إِسْمَاعِيلَ بْنِ رَجَاءٍ الزُّبَيْدِيِّ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ أَبَا سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيَّ ، يَقُولُ: كُنَّا جُلُوسًا نَنْتَظِرُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، فَخَرَجَ عَلَيْنَا مِنْ بَعْضِ بُيُوتِ نِسَائِهِ، قَالَ: فَقُمْنَا مَعَهُ، فَانْقَطَعَتْ نَعْلُهُ، فَتَخَلَّفَ عَلَيْهَا عَلِيٌّ يَخْصِفُهَا، فَمَضَى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، وَمَضَيْنَا مَعَهُ، ثُمَّ قَامَ يَنْتَظِرُهُ، وَقُمْنَا مَعَهُ، فَقَالَ:" إِنَّ مِنْكُمْ مَنْ يُقَاتِلُ عَلَى تَأْوِيلِ هَذَا الْقُرْآنِ، كَمَا قَاتَلْتُ عَلَى تَنْزِيلِهِ" , فَاسْتَشْرَفْنَا وَفِينَا أَبُو بَكْرٍ وَعُمَرُ، فَقَالَ:" لَا، وَلَكِنَّهُ خَاصِفُ النَّعْلِ"، قَالَ: فَجِئْنَا نُبَشِّرُهُ، قَالَ: وَكَأَنَّهُ قَدْ سَمِعَهُ.
