Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 11772
Once, Abu Said Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him) was narrating a hadith on a certain topic when Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) came to visit him and said, "O Abu Said! What hadith are you narrating on the authority of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him)?" He said, "I heard the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) saying, 'Sell gold for gold in equal amounts, and silver for silver in equal amounts.'"

ایک مرتبہ حضرت ابوسعید خدری رضی اللہ عنہ اسی مضمون کی ایک حدیث بیان کر رہے تھے کہ ان سے حضرت عبداللہ بن عمر رضی اللہ عنہ ملاقات کے لئے آئے اور کہنے لگے کہ اے ابوسعید! یہ کیا حدیث ہے جو آپ نبی ﷺ کے حوالے سے بیان کر رہے ہیں؟ انہوں نے فرمایا کہ میں نے نبی ﷺ کو یہ فرماتے ہوئے سنا ہے سونا سونے کے بدلے برابر سرابر بیچو اور چاندی چاندی کے بدلے برابر سرابر بیچو۔

حَدَّثَنَا يَعْقُوبُ ، حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ أَخِي ابْنِ شِهَابٍ ، عَنْ عَمِّهِ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ مُسْلِمٍ ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنِي سَالِمُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ، عَنْ عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ عُمَرَ ، أَنَّ أَبَا سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيّ حَدَّثَهُ مِثْلَ ذَلِكَ حَدِيثًا عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، فَلَقِيَهُ عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ عُمَرَ، فَقَالَ: يَا أَبَا سَعِيدٍ، مَا هَذَا الَّذِي تُحَدِّثُ عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ؟ فَقَالَ أَبُو سَعِيدٍ : سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ:" الذَّهَبُ بِالذَّهَبِ مِثْلًا بِمِثْلٍ، وَالْوَرِقُ بِالْوَرِقِ مِثْلًا بِمِثْلٍ".
