Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 11805

Abu Saeed Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) forbade (us) from garlic and onions. We asked him, "Are these things haram (forbidden)?" He replied, "No, but the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) forbade (us) from it."

حضرت ابوسعید خدری رضی اللہ عنہ سے مروی ہے کہ نبی ﷺ نے لہسن اور پیاز سے منع فرمایا ہے، ہم نے ان سے پوچھا کہ کیا یہ چیزیں حرام ہیں؟ انہوں نے فرمایا کہ نہیں البتہ نبی ﷺ نے اس سے منع فرمایا ہے۔

Hazrat Abu Said Khudri (رضي الله تعالى عنه) se marvi hai ki Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne lahsan aur piyaz se mana farmaya hai, hum ne un se pucha ki kya yeh cheezen haram hain? Unhon ne farmaya ki nahin albatta Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne is se mana farmaya hai.

حَدَّثَنَا يُونُسُ ، وَسُرَيْجٌ , قَالَا: حدثَنَا حَمَّادٌ ، عَنْ بِشْرٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيِّ ، أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ" نَهَى عَنِ الْكُرَّاثِ، وَالْبَصَلِ، وَالثُّومِ"، فَقُلْنَا: أَحَرَامٌ هُوَ؟ قَالَ: لَا، وَلَكِنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ نَهَى عَنْهُ.
