Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 11861
Akarmah (may Allah be pleased with him) reported that once Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with him) said to him and his son Ali, "Both of you should go to Abu Sa'id Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him) and listen to hadiths from him." So we both went. He was at that time in one of his gardens. When he saw us, he held his sheet of cloth, came to us and sat down and started narrating hadiths. During this, while talking, the topic of building the mosque came up. He said that we used to carry one brick each and Ammar (may Allah be pleased with him) used to carry two bricks. The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) saw him, started wiping dust off his head and said, "Ammar! Why don't you carry one brick like your companions?" He replied, "I am doing it with the intention of reward." The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) kept wiping his head and said, "O Ibn Samiah! Woe to you, a rebellious group will kill you. They will invite you to Hell and you will invite them to Paradise." Upon this, Ammar (may Allah be pleased with him) said, "I seek refuge in the Most Merciful from all kinds of tribulations."

عکرمہ رحمہ اللہ کہتے ہیں کہ ایک مرتبہ حضرت ابن عباس رضی اللہ عنہ نے ان سے اور اپنے بیٹے علی سے فرمایا کہ تم دونوں حضرت ابوسعید خدری رضی اللہ عنہ کے پاس جا کر ان سے حدیث کی سماعت کرو، ہم دونوں چلے گئے، اس وقت وہ اپنے ایک باغ میں تھے، ہمیں دیکھ کر انہوں نے اپنی چادر پکڑ لی اور ہمارے پاس آکر بیٹھ گئے اور احادیث بیان کرنے لگے، اسی دوران چلتے چلتے تعمیر مسجد کا ذکر آیا تو انہوں نے فرمایا کہ ہم ایک ایک اینٹ اٹھا کر لاتے تھے اور حضرت عمار رضی اللہ عنہ دو دو اینٹیں اٹھا کر لا رہے تھے، نبی ﷺ نے انہیں دیکھا تو ان کے سر سے مٹی جھاڑنے لگے اور فرمایا عمار! تم اپنے ساتھیوں کی طرح ایک ایک اینٹ کیوں نہیں اٹھا کر لاتے؟ انہوں نے کہا کہ میں ثواب کی نیت سے کر رہا ہوں، نبی ﷺ ان کے سر کو جھاڑتے جاتے تھے فرماتے جاتے تھے کہ ابن سمیہ! افسوس کہ تمہیں ایک باغی گروہ شہید کر دے گا تم انہیں جنت کی طرف اور وہ تمہیں جہنم کی طرف بلاتے ہوں گے، اس پر حضرت عمار رضی اللہ عنہ کہنے لگے کہ میں ہر طرح کے فتنوں سے رحمان کی پناہ میں آتا ہوں۔
Akarma RA kehte hain ki aik martaba Hazrat Ibn Abbas RA ne un se aur apne bete Ali se farmaya ki tum donon Hazrat Abu Saeed Khudri RA ke paas ja kar un se hadees ki samaat karo, hum donon chale gaye, us waqt woh apne aik bagh mein the, humein dekh kar unhon ne apni chadar pakad li aur humare paas aakar beth gaye aur ahadees bayan karne lage, isi doran chalte chalte tameer masjid ka zikar aaya to unhon ne farmaya ki hum aik aik eent utha kar laate the aur Hazrat Ammar RA do do enten utha kar la rahe the, Nabi SAW ne unhen dekha to un ke sar se mitti jhadne lage aur farmaya Ammar! tum apne sathiyon ki tarah aik aik eent kyun nahin utha kar laate? unhon ne kaha ki main sawab ki niyat se kar raha hun, Nabi SAW un ke sar ko jhadte jate the farmate jate the ki Ibn Samia! afsos ki tumhen aik baaghi giroh shaheed kar dega tum unhen jannat ki taraf aur woh tumhen jahannam ki taraf bulaate honge, is par Hazrat Ammar RA kehne lage ki main har tarah ke fitnon se Rahman ki panaah mein aata hun.
حَدَّثَنَا مَحْبُوبُ بْنُ الْحَسَنِ ، عَنْ خَالِدٍ ، عَنْ عِكْرِمَةَ ، أَنَّ ابْنَ عَبَّاسٍ قَالَ لَهُ وَلِابْنِهِ عَلِيٍّ: انْطَلِقَا إِلَى أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيِّ ، فَاسْمَعَا مِنْ حَدِيثِهِ، قَالَ: فَانْطَلَقْنَا، فَإِذَا هُوَ فِي حَائِطٍ لَهُ، فَلَمَّا رَآنَا أَخَذَ رِدَاءَهُ، فَجَاءَنَا، فَقَعَدَ، فَأَنْشَأَ يُحَدِّثُنَا، حَتَّى أَتَى عَلَى ذِكْرِ بِنَاءِ الْمَسْجِدِ، قَالَ: كُنَّا نَحْمِلُ لَبِنَةً لَبِنَةً، وَعَمَّارُ بْنُ يَاسرٍ يَحْمِلُ لَبِنَتَيْنِ، لَبِنَتَيْنِ، قَالَ: فَرَآهُ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، فَجَعَلَ يَنْفُضُ التُّرَابَ عَنْهُ، وَيَقُولُ:" يَا عَمَّارُ، أَلَا تَحْمِلُ لَبِنَةً كَمَا يَحْمِلُ أَصْحَابُكَ"، قَالَ: إِنِّي أُرِيدُ الْأَجْرَ مِنَ اللَّهِ، قَالَ: فَجَعَلَ يَنْفُضُ التُّرَابَ عَنْهُ، وَيَقُولُ:" وَيْحَ عَمَّارٍ، تَقْتُلُهُ الْفِئَةُ الْبَاغِيَةُ، يَدْعُوهُمْ إِلَى الْجَنَّةِ، وَيَدْعُونَهُ إِلَى النَّارِ". قَالَ: فَجَعَلَ عَمَّارٌ يَقُولُ: أَعُوذُ بِالرَّحْمَنِ مِنَ الْفِتَنِ.
