Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 13141
It is narrated on the authority of Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) that one day he saw a silver ring in the hand of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him). Seeing the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him), people also made silver rings. Upon this, the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) took off his ring and threw it away, and the people also took off their rings and threw them away.

حضرت انس رضی اللہ عنہ سے مروی ہے کہ ایک دن انہوں نے نبی ﷺ کے ہاتھ میں چاندی کی ایک انگوٹھی دیکھی، نبی ﷺ کو دیکھ کر لوگوں نے بھی چاندی کی انگوٹھیاں بنوالیں، اس پر نبی ﷺ نے اپنی انگوٹھی اتار کر پھینک دی اور لوگوں نے بھی اپنی اپنی انگوٹھیاں اتار پھینکیں۔
Hazrat Anas (رضي الله تعالى عنه) se marvi hai ki aik din unhon ne Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ke hath mein chandi ki aik anguthi dekhi, Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ko dekh kar logon ne bhi chandi ki anguthiyan banwalin, is par Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne apni anguthi utar kar phenk di aur logon ne bhi apni apni anguthiyan utar phenkin.
حَدَّثَنَا رَوْحٌ ، حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ جُرَيْجٍ ، وَعَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ الْحَارِثِ ، عَنِ ابْنِ جُرَيْجٍ ، قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنِي زِيَادٌ يَعْنِي ابْنَ سَعْدٍ ، أَنَّ ابْنَ شِهَابٍ أَخْبَرَهُ، أَنَّ أَنَسَ بْنَ مَالِكٍ أخْبَرَهُ، أَنَّهُ رَأَى فِي يَدِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ خَاتَمًا مِنْ وَرِقٍ يَوْمًا وَاحِدًا، ثُمَّ إِنَّ النَّاسَ اضْطَرَبُوا الْخَوَاتِيمَ مِنْ وَرِقٍ وَلَبِسُوهَا، فَطَرَحَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ خَاتَمَهُ، فَطَرَحَ النَّاسُ خَوَاتِيمَهُمْ".
