Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 14210
It is narrated on the authority of Sayyiduna Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) that some people asked the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) about the most virtuous Jihad. The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) replied: "That of the person whose horse's legs are cut off and his own blood is shed."

سیدنا جابر رضی اللہ عنہ سے مروی ہے کہ کچھ لوگوں نے نبی ﷺ سے پوچھا کہ سب سے افضل جہاد کون سا ہے؟ نبی ﷺ نے فرمایا: ”اس شخص کا جس کے گھوڑے کے پاؤں کٹ جائیں اور اس کا اپنا خون بہہ جائے۔“
Sayyidna Jabir (رضي الله تعالى عنه) se marvi hai ki kuch logon ne Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) se pucha ki sab se afzal jihad kaun sa hai? Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne farmaya: "Iss shakhs ka jis ke ghore ke paon kat jayen aur is ka apna khoon beh jaye."
حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ ، حَدَّثَنَا الْأَعْمَشُ ، عَنْ أَبِي سُفْيَانَ ، عَنْ جَابِرٍ ، قَالَ: قَالُوا: يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ، أَيُّ الْجِهَادِ أَفْضَلُ؟ قَالَ:" مَنْ عُقِرَ جَوَادُهُ، وَأُهْرِيقَ دَمُهُ".
