Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 14665
Narrated by Sayyiduna Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) that he was asked: Did the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) say that if the son of Adam had a whole valley, he would wish for a second one? He said: I heard the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) saying: If the son of Adam had a whole valley of date-palm trees, he would wish for two, and if he had two, he would wish for three. And nothing fills the belly of the son of Adam except the dust of the grave.

سیدنا جابر رضی اللہ عنہ سے مروی ہے کہ پوچھا کہ کیا نبی ﷺ نے یہ فرمایا کہ اگر ابن آدم کے پاس ایک وادی ہو تی تو وہ دوسری کی تمنا کرتا انہوں نے فرمایا: میں نبی ﷺ کو یہ فرماتے ہوئے سنا ہے اگر ابن آدم کے پاس کھجوروں کے درختوں کی ایک پوری وادی ہو تو وہ دو کی اور دو ہوں تو تین کی تمنا کر ے گا اور ابن آدم کا پیٹ قبر کی مٹی کے علاوہ کوئی چیز نہیں بھر سکتی۔
Sayyidna Jabir (رضي الله تعالى عنه) se marvi hai ki poocha ki kya Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne ye farmaya ki agar Ibn e Adam ke paas ek wadi ho ti to wo dusri ki tamanna karta unhon ne farmaya: mein Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ko ye farmate huye suna hai agar Ibn e Adam ke paas khajuron ke darakhton ki ek poori wadi ho to wo do ki aur do hon to teen ki tamanna kare ga aur Ibn e Adam ka pet qabar ki mitti ke ilawa koi cheez nahi bhar sakti.
حَدَّثَنَا حَسَنٌ ، حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ لَهِيعَةَ ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الزُّبَيْرِ ، أَنَّهُ سَأَلَ جَابِرًا أَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ:" لَوْ كَانَ لِابْنِ آدَمَ وَادٍ تَمَنَّى آخَرَ"؟، فَقَالَ جَابِرٌ : سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ:" لَوْ كَانَ لِابْنِ آدَمَ وَادٍ مِنْ نَخْلٍ تَمَنَّى مِثْلَهُ، ثُمَّ تَمَنَّى مِثْلَهُ، حَتَّى يَتَمَنَّى أَوْدِيَةً، وَلَا يَمْلَأُ جَوْفَ ابْنِ آدَمَ إِلَّا التُّرَابُ".
