Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 14733
Narrated by Sayyiduna Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) that when the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) conquered Hunayn, he sent out different detachments. They brought camels and goats, which the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) distributed among the Quraysh. We, the Ansar, felt something in our hearts. The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) came to know about it, so he gathered us and said in his address: "Are you not pleased that you have the Messenger of Allah with you? By Allah, if the people were to go on one path and you were in another valley, I would choose your valley." Upon this, they said, "O Messenger of Allah! We are pleased."

سیدنا جابر رضی اللہ عنہ سے مروی ہے کہ نبی ﷺ نے جب حنین میں فتح حاصل کر لی تو آپ نے مختلف دستے روانہ فرمائے وہ اونٹ اور بکریاں لے کر آئے جنہیں نبی ﷺ نے قریش میں تقسیم کر دیا ہم انصار نے اس بات کو اپنے دل میں محسوس کیا نبی ﷺ کو پتا چلا تو آپ نے ہمیں جمع کر کے خطبہ دیتے ہوئے فرمایا: کیا تم اس بات پر راضی نہیں ہو کہ تمہیں اللہ کے رسول مل جائے واللہ اگر لوگ ایک راستے پر چل رہے ہوں اور تم دوسری گھاٹی میں ہو تو میں تمہاری گھاٹی کو اختیار کر وں گا اس پر وہ کہنے لگا کہ یا رسول اللہ! ہم راضی ہیں۔
Sayydena Jabir (رضي الله تعالى عنه) se marvi hai keh Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne jab Hunain mein fatah hasil kar li to aap ne mukhtalif daste rawana farmaye woh unt aur bakriya le kar aye jinhen Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne Quresh mein taqsim kar diya hum Ansar ne is baat ko apne dil mein mehsoos kiya Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ko pata chala to aap ne hamein jama kar ke khutba dete huye farmaya: kya tum is baat par raazi nahi ho keh tumhen Allah ke Rasool mil jaye wallahi agar log ek raste par chal rahe hon aur tum dusri ghati mein ho to mein tumhari ghati ko ikhtiyar karun ga is par woh kehne laga keh Ya Rasool Allah! hum raazi hain.
حَدَّثَنَا مُوسَى ، حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ لَهِيعَةَ ، عَنْ أَبِي الزُّبَيْرِ ، عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ، أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ لَمَّا فُتِحَتْ حُنَيْنٌ بَعَثَ سَرَايَا، فَأَتَوْا بِالْإِبِلِ وَالشَّاءِ، فَقَسَموهَا فِي قُرَيْشٍ، قَالَ: فَوَجَدْنَا أَيُّهَا الْأَنْصَارُ عَلَيْهِ، فَبَلَغَهُ ذَلِكَ فَجَمَعَنَا فَخَطَبَنَا، فَقَالَ:" أَلَا تَرْضَوْنَ أَنَّكُمْ أُعْطِيتُمْ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ؟ فَوَاللَّهِ لَوْ سَلَكَتِ النَّاسُ وَادِيًا، وَسَلَكْتُمْ شِعْبًا، لَاتَّبَعْتُ شِعْبَكُمْ"، قَالُوا: رَضِينَا يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ.
