Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 14734
Abu Zubair said: I asked Jabir ibn Abdullah about the pledge of Aqabah. He said: There were seventy men with Abbas ibn Abdul Muttalib holding the hand of the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace. The Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, said: I have taken the pledge and made the covenant.

ابوالزبیر کہتے ہیں کہ میں نے سیدنا جابر رضی اللہ عنہ سے بیعت عقبہ کے متعلق پوچھا: تو انہوں نے بتایا کہ اس موقع پر ستر آدمی شریک تھے نبی ﷺ کے پاس اس حال میں تشریف لائے تھے کہ سیدنا عباس نے ان کا ہاتھ تھاما ہوا تھا نبی ﷺ نے فرمایا کہ میں نے بیعت لے لی اور وعدہ دے دیا۔
Abu alzubair kahte hain ki main ne sayyidna jabir (رضي الله تعالى عنه) se bai'at 'uqbah ke mutalliq pucha: to unhon ne bataya ki is mauqe par sattar aadmi sharik the nabi sali Allahu alaihi wasallam ke pas is hal mein tashrif laye the ki sayyidna abbas ne un ka hath thama hua tha nabi sali Allahu alaihi wasallam ne farmaya ki main ne bai'at le li aur wa'da de diya.
حَدَّثَنَا مُوسَى ، حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ لَهِيعَةَ ، عَنْ أَبِي الزُّبَيْرِ ، قَالَ: سَأَلْتُ جَابِرًا عَنِ الْعَقَبَةِ، قَالَ: شَهِدَهَا سَبْعُونَ، فَوَافَقَهُمِ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، وَعَبَّاسُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْمُطَّلِبِ آخِذٌ بِيَدِهِ، فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ:" قَدْ أَخَذْتُ وَأَعْطَيْتُ".
