Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 14751
It is narrated on the authority of Sayyiduna Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) participated in six battles before the verses regarding the Fear Prayer were revealed. The verses pertaining to the Fear Prayer were revealed in the seventh year.

سیدنا جابر رضی اللہ عنہ سے مروی ہے کہ نبی ﷺ نے نماز خوف کا حکم نازل ہو نے سے قبل چھ مرتبہ جہاد کیا تھا نماز خوف کا حکم ساتویں سال میں نازل ہوا تھا۔
Sayyidna Jabir (رضي الله تعالى عنه) se marvi hai ki Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne Namaz Khauf ka hukum nazil hone se pehle chhe martaba jihad kiya tha. Namaz Khauf ka hukum satwein saal mein nazil hua tha.
حَدَّثَنَا مُوسَى ، حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ لَهِيعَةَ ، عَنْ أَبِي الزُّبَيْرِ ، عَنْ جَابِرٍ ، قَالَ:" غَزَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ سِتَّ مِرَارٍ قَبْلَ صَلَاةِ الْخَوْفِ، وَكَانَتْ صَلَاةُ الْخَوْفِ فِي السَّنَةِ السَّابِعَةِ".
