Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 14800
Narrated by Sayyiduna Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him), once we were standing in rows with the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) in the Zuhr or Asr prayer, and we felt that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) was holding something. Then he started moving back, so the people also started moving back. After finishing the prayer, Sayyiduna Abi bin Ka'b (may Allah be pleased with him) asked: "What did you do today that you have never done before?" The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "Paradise was presented before me with all its beauty. I intended to pluck a bunch of grapes to show you, but then something came in between. If I had brought it to you and all the beings of the heavens and the earth had eaten from it, there would have been no decrease in it. Then Hell was presented before me. When I felt its heat, I stepped back, and I saw that most of its inhabitants were women. If they are told a secret, they will disclose it. If they are asked for something, they will be stingy. If they ask someone for something, they will insist. If they get something, they will not be grateful. I also saw Lahyi bin 'Amr in it, dragging his intestines in Hell. And I saw the one who resembled him the most was Mab'ad bin Aktham Ka'bi." Upon this, Mab'ad said: "O Messenger of Allah! I hope I will not be harmed because of his resemblance." The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "No, you have become a Muslim, and he was a disbeliever."

سیدنا جابر رضی اللہ عنہ سے مروی ہے کہ ایک مرتبہ نبی ﷺ کے ساتھ ہم لوگ ظہر یا عصر کی نماز میں صف بستہ کھڑے تھے اور محسوس ہوا کہ نبی ﷺ کسی چیز کو پکڑ رہے ہیں پھر وہ پیچھے ہٹنے لگے تو لوگ بھی پیچھے ہٹنے لگے نماز سے فارغ ہو کر سیدنا ابی بن کعب نے عرض کیا: آج تو آپ نے ایسے کیا ہے کہ اس سے پہلے کبھی نہیں کیا نبی ﷺ نے فرمایا: میرے سامنے جنت کو اپنی تمام تر رونقوں کے ساتھ پیش کیا گیا میں نے انگوروں کا ایک گچھا توڑنا چاہا تاکہ تمہیں دیدوں لیکن پھر کوئی چیز درمیان میں حائل ہو گئی اگر وہ میں تمہارے پاس لے آتا اور سارے آسمان و زمین والے اسے کھاتے تب بھی اس میں کوئی کمی نہ ہو تی پھر میرے سامنے جہنم کو پیش کیا گیا جب میں نے اس کی بھڑک کو محسوس کیا تو پیچھے ہٹ گیا اور میں نے اس میں اکثریت عورتوں کی دیکھی ہے جنہیں اگر کوئی راز بتایا جائے تو اسے افشاء کر دیتی ہیں کچھ مانگا جائے تو بخل سے کام لیتی ہیں خود کسی سے مانگیں تو اصرار کر تی ہیں مل جائے شکر نہیں کر تیں میں نے وہاں لحیی بن عمرو کو بھی دیکھا ہے جو جہنم میں اپنی انتریاں کھینچ رہا تھا اور میں نے اس کے سب سے زیادہ مشابہہ معبد بن اکثم کعبی کو دیکھا ہے اس پر معبد کہنے لگے کہ یا رسول اللہ! اس کی مشابہت سے مجھے کوئی نقصان پہنچنے کا اندیشہ تو نہیں؟ نبی ﷺ نے فرمایا: نہیں تم مسلمان ہواور وہ کافر تھا۔
Seyedna Jabir Raziallahu Anhu se marvi hai ki ek martaba Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ke sath hum log zohar ya asar ki namaz mein saf basta khade thay aur mehsoos hua ki Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) kisi cheez ko pakad rahay hain phir woh peechay hatne lage to log bhi peechay hatne lage namaz se farigh ho kar Seyedna Abi bin Kaab ne arz kiya: Aaj to aap ne aise kiya hai ki is se pehle kabhi nahi kiya Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne farmaya: Meray samne jannat ko apni tamam tar ronakon ke sath pesh kiya gaya main ne angooron ka ek guchha torna chaha taaki tumhen dikhon lekin phir koi cheez darmiyan mein hail ho gayi agar woh main tumharay pass le aata aur sare asmaan o zameen walay usay khate tab bhi us mein koi kami na ho ti phir meray samne jahannam ko pesh kiya gaya jab main ne us ki bhark ko mehsoos kiya to peechay hat gaya aur main ne us mein aksariyat auraton ki dekhi hai jinhen agar koi raaz bataya jaye to usay ifsha kar deti hain kuch manga jaye to bukhar se kaam leti hain khud kisi se mangen to israr kar ti hain mil jaye shukar nahi kar tin main ne wahan Lahi bin Amro ko bhi dekha hai jo jahannam mein apni antariyan khench raha tha aur main ne us ke sab se zyada mushabaha Maabad bin Aktham Kaabi ko dekha hai is par Maabad kehne lage ki Ya Rasulullah! Is ki mushabat se mujhe koi nuqsan pahunchne ka andesha to nahi? Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne farmaya: Nahi tum musalman huaur woh kafir tha.
حَدَّثَنَا زَكَرِيَّا ، أَنْبَأَنَا عُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ ، وَحُسَيْنُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ ، قَالَا: حَدَّثَنَا عُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَقِيلٍ ، عَنْ جَابِرٍ ، قَالَ: بَيْنَمَا نَحْنُ مَعَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِي صُفُوفِنَا فِي الصَّلَاةِ، صَلَاةِ الظُّهْرِ أَوْ الْعَصْرِ، فَإِذَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَتَنَاوَلُ شَيْئًا، ثُمَّ تَأَخَّرَ فَتَأَخَّرَ النَّاسُ، فَلَمَّا قَضَى الصَّلَاةَ، قَالَ لَهُ أُبَيُّ بْنُ كَعْبٍ: شَيْئًا صَنَعْتَهُ فِي الصَّلَاةِ لَمْ تَكُنْ تَصْنَعُهُ!، قَالَ:" عُرِضَتْ عَلَيَّ الْجَنَّةُ بِمَا فِيهَا مِنَ الزَّهْرَةِ وَالنَّضْرَةِ، فَتَنَاوَلْتُ مِنْهَا قِطْفًا مِنْ عِنَبٍ لِآتِيَكُمْ بِهِ، فَحِيلَ بَيْنِي وَبَيْنَهُ، وَلَوْ أَتَيْتُكُمْ بِهِ لَأَكَلَ مِنْهُ مَنْ بَيْنَ السَّمَاءِ وَالْأَرْضِ لَا يُنْقِصُونَهُ شَيْئًا، ثُمَّ عُرِضَتْ عَلَيَّ النَّارُ، فَلَمَّا وَجَدْتُ سَفْعَهَا تَأَخَّرْتُ عَنْهَا، وَأَكْثَرُ مَنْ رَأَيْتُ فِيهَا النِّسَاءُ اللَّاتِي: إِنْ اؤْتُمِنَّ أَفْشَيْنَ، وَإِنْ يُسْأَلْنَ بَخِلْنَ، وَإِنْ يَسْأَلْنَ أَلْحَفْنَ قَالَ حُسَيْنٌ: وَإِنْ أُعْطِينَ لَمْ يَشْكُرْنَ وَرَأَيْتُ فِيهَا لُحَيَّ بْنَ عَمْرٍو يَجُرُّ قُصْبَهُ فِي النَّارِ، وَأَشْبَهُ مَنْ رَأَيْتُ بِهِ مَعْبَدُ بْنُ أَكْثَمَ الْكَعْبِيُّ"، قَالَ مَعْبَدٌ: يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ، أَيُخْشَى عَلَيَّ مِنْ شَبَهِهِ وَهُوَ وَالِدٌ؟، فَقَالَ: لَا، أَنْتَ مُؤْمِنٌ وَهُوَ كَافِرٌ"، قَالَ حُسَيْنٌ: وَكَانَ أَوَّلَ مَنْ حَمَلَ الْعَرَبَ عَلَى عِبَادَةِ الْأَوْثَانِ، قَالَ حُسَيْنٌ:" تَأَخَّرْتُ عَنْهَا، وَلَوْلَا ذَلِكَ لَغَشِيَتْكُمْ".
