Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 14914
It is narrated on the authority of Sayyiduna Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) used to offer the sacrifice of one camel or cow on behalf of seven people.

سیدنا جابر رضی اللہ عنہ سے مروی ہے کہ نبی ﷺ سات آدمیوں کی طرف سے ایک اونٹ گائے کی قربانی دیدیتے تھے۔

حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ ، حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادٌ ، أَخْبَرَنَا قَيْسُ بْنُ سَعْدٍ ، عَنْ عَطَاءٍ ، عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ الْأَنْصَارِيِّ أَنّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ" نَحَرَ الْبَدَنَةَ عَنْ سَبْعَةٍ، وَالْبَقَرَةَ عَنْ سَبْعَةٍ".
