Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 14936
It is narrated on the authority of Sayyiduna Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) that on the day of the Battle of the Trench, the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) encouraged the people three times to bring him news of the enemy, and all three times Sayyiduna Zubair (may Allah be pleased with him) offered himself for this service. Thereupon, the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said, "Every Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) had a disciple, and Zubair is my disciple."

سیدنا جابر رضی اللہ عنہ سے مروی ہے کہ نبی ﷺ نے غزوہ خندق کے دن لوگوں کو دشمن کی خبر لانے کے لئے تین مرتبہ ترغیب دی اور تینوں مرتبہ سیدنا زبیر نے اپنے آپ کو اس خدمت کے لئے پیش کیا جس پر نبی ﷺ نے فرمایا: ہر نبی ﷺ کا ایک حواری ہوتا تھا اور میرے حواری زبیر ہیں۔
Sayyidna Jabir (رضي الله تعالى عنه) se marvi hai ki Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne Ghazwa Khandaq ke din logon ko dushman ki khabar laane ke liye teen martaba targhib di aur teeno martaba Sayyidna Zubair ne apne aap ko is khidmat ke liye pesh kiya jis par Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne farmaya: Har Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ka ek hawari hota tha aur mere hawari Zubair hain.
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو نُعَيْمٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ الْمُنْكَدِرِ ، عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ، قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ:" مَنْ يَأْتِينِي بِخَبَرِ الْقَوْمِ يَوْمَ الْأَحْزَابِ؟"، فَقَالَ الزُّبَيْرُ: أَنَا، ثُمَّ قَالَ:" مَنْ يَأْتِينِي بِخَبَرِ الْقَوْمِ؟"، فَقَالَ الزُّبَيْرُ: أَنَا، ثُمَّ قَالَ:" مَنْ يَأْتِينِي بِخَبَرِ الْقَوْمِ؟"، فَقَالَ الزُّبَيْرُ: أَنَا، قَالَ:" لِكُلِّ نَبِيٍّ حَوَارِيٌّ، وَإِنَّ حَوَارِيَّ الزُّبَيْرُ".
