Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 1523
It is narrated on the authority of Sayyiduna Sa'd (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) ordered the killing of the gecko and he (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) named it “Fuwaysaq” (which is a diminutive form of “Fasiq”, meaning 'corrupt' or 'wicked').

سیدنا سعد رضی اللہ عنہ سے مروی ہے کہ نبی ﷺ نے چھپکلی کو مار دینے کا حکم دیا ہے، اور آپ ﷺ نے اس کا نام ”فویسق“ رکھا ہے (جو کہ فاسق کی تصغیر ہے)۔
Sayyiduna Saad (رضي الله تعالى عنه) se marvi hai ki Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne chhipkali ko maar dene ka hukm diya hai, aur aap (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne iska naam "Favisq" rakha hai (jo ki fasiq ki tasgheer hai).
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ ، حَدَّثَنَا مَعْمَرٌ ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ عَنْ عَامِرِ بْنِ سَعْدِ , عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، قَالَ: أَمَرَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ" بِقَتْلِ الْوَزَغِ، وَسَمَّاهُ فُوَيْسِقًا.
