Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 1536
Habib bin Abi Thabit said: Once I was in Madinah. I received news that a plague had broken out in Kufa. I asked people: Who narrates the Hadith on this subject here? The people mentioned the name of Amir bin Sa'd, but he was not present there at that time. Then I met Ibrahim bin Sa'd. He narrated to me this narration of Sayyiduna Sa'd (may Allah be pleased with him) on the authority of Sayyiduna Usamah bin Zaid (may Allah be pleased with them both), that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "When a plague breaks out in a land, do not go there, and if you are already present in a land and a plague breaks out there, then do not leave it." I asked Ibrahim: Did you hear this narration from Sayyiduna Usamah (may Allah be pleased with him) yourself? He replied in the affirmative.

حبیب بن ابی ثابت کہتے ہیں کہ ایک مرتبہ میں مدینہ منورہ آیا ہوا تھا، پیچھے سے خبر معلوم ہوئی کہ کوفہ میں طاعون کی وباء پھوٹ پڑی ہے، میں نے لوگوں سے پوچھا کہ اس مضمون کی حدیث یہاں کون بیان کرتا ہے؟ لوگوں نے عامر بن سعد کا نام لیا، لیکن وہ اس وقت وہاں موجود نہ تھے، پھر میری ملاقات ابراہیم بن سعد سے ہوئی، انہوں نے مجھے سیدنا اسامہ بن زید رضی اللہ عنہما کے حوالے سے سیدنا سعد رضی اللہ عنہ کی یہ روایت سنائی کہ رسول اللہ ﷺ نے ارشاد فرمایا: ”جب کسی قوم میں طاعون کی وباء پھیل جائے تو تم وہاں مت جاؤ، اور اگر تم کسی علاقے میں پہلے سے موجود ہو اور وہاں طاعون کی وباء پھیل جائے تو وہاں سے نکلو مت۔“ میں نے ابراہیم سے پوچھا: کیا آپ نے سیدنا اسامہ رضی اللہ عنہ سے یہ روایت خود سنی ہے؟ انہوں نے اثبات میں جواب دیا۔
Habib bin Abi Sabit kehte hain ki ek martaba main Madina Munawwara aaya hua tha, peeche se khabar maloom hui ki Kufa mein taoon ki waabaa phoot padi hai, main ne logon se poocha ki is mazmoon ki hadees yahan kaun bayan karta hai? Logon ne Aamir bin Saad ka naam liya, lekin woh us waqt wahan mojood na the, phir meri mulaqat Ibrahim bin Saad se hui, unhon ne mujhe Sayyiduna Osama bin Zaid Radi Allahu anhuma ke hawale se Sayyiduna Saad Radi Allahu anhu ki yeh riwayat sunaai ki Rasul Allah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne irshad farmaya: "Jab kisi qaum mein taoon ki waabaa phel jaaye to tum wahan mat jao, aur agar tum kisi ilaqe mein pehle se mojood ho aur wahan taoon ki waabaa phel jaaye to wahan se niklo mat." Main ne Ibrahim se poocha: kya aap ne Sayyiduna Osama Radi Allahu anhu se yeh riwayat khud suni hai? Unhon ne isbat mein jawab diya.
حَدَّثَنَا بَهْزٌ ، حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ ، أَخْبَرَنِي حَبِيبُ بْنُ أَبِي ثَابِتٍ ، قَالَ: قَدِمْتُ الْمَدِينَةَ، فَبَلَغَنَا أَنَّ الطَّاعُونَ وَقَعَ بِالْكُوفَةِ، قَالَ: فَقُلْتُ: مَنْ يَرْوِي هَذَا الْحَدِيثَ؟ فَقِيلَ: عَامِرُ بْنُ سَعْدٍ، قَالَ: وَكَانَ غَائِبًا، فَلَقِيتُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ بْنَ سَعْدٍ، فَحَدَّثَنِي أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ أُسَامَةَ بْنَ زَيْدٍ يُحَدِّثُ سَعْدًا أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ , قَالَ:" إِذَا وَقَعَ الطَّاعُونُ بِأَرْضٍ فَلَا تَدْخُلُوهَا، وَإِذَا وَقَعَ وَأَنْتُمْ بِهَا، فَلَا تَخْرُجُوا مِنْهَا" , قَالَ: قُلْتُ: أَأَنْتَ سَمِعْتَ أُسَامَةَ؟ قَالَ: نَعَمْ.
