Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 16018
Narrated by Sayyiduna Wathilah, that he heard the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) saying: "O Allah, so-and-so, son of so-and-so is under Your protection and the rope of Your neighborhood, so save him from the trial of the grave and the torment of Hellfire, You are the Truthful, the Faithful. O Allah, forgive him, have mercy on him, You are the Forgiving, the Merciful."

سیدنا واثلہ سے مروی ہے کہ انہوں نے نبی ﷺ کو یہ فرماتے ہوئے سنا ہے اے اللہ فلاں بن فلاں تیری ذمہ داری میں اور تیرے پڑوس کی رسی میں ہے اس لئے اسے قبر کی آزمائش اور عذاب جہنم سے محفوظ فرما تو ہی اہل وفا حق ہے اے اللہ اسے معاف فرما اس پر رحم فرما تو ہی معاف کرنے والا اور رحم فرمانے والا ہے۔
Sayyidna Wasila se marvi hai ki unhon ne Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ko ye farmate huye suna hai aye Allah falan bin falan teri zimmedari mein aur tere pados ki rassi mein hai is liye use qabar ki azmaish aur azab jahannam se mahfooz farma tu hi ahl wafa haq hai aye Allah use maaf farma us par reham farma tu hi maaf karne wala aur reham farmane wala hai.
حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ بَحْرٍ ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا الْوَلِيدُ بْنُ مُسْلِمٍ ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا مَرْوَانُ بْنُ جَنَاحٍ ، عَنْ يُونُسَ بْنِ مَيْسَرَةَ بْنِ حَلْبَسٍ ، عَنْ وَاثِلَةَ بْنِ الْأَسْقَعِ ، أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ:" أَلَا إِنَّ فُلَانَ بْنَ فُلَانٍ فِي ذِمَّتِكَ وَحَبْلِ جِوَارِكَ، فَقِهِ فِتْنَةَ الْقَبْرِ، وَعَذَابَ النَّارِ، أَنْتَ أَهْلُ الْوَفَاءِ وَالْحَقِّ، اللَّهُمَّ فَاغْفِرْ لَهُ وَارْحَمْهُ، فَإِنَّكَ أَنْتَ الْغَفُورُ الرَّحِيمُ".
