Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 16024
Narrated by our leader, Rabiah (may Allah be pleased with him), that before the migration to Medina, I saw the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) in the market of Dhu al-Majaz, presenting his invitation in front of people. Behind the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him), there was a one-eyed man who was saying, "Don't let this man turn you away from the religion of your gods." I asked the people who this one-eyed man was, and they said, "This is the Prophet's (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) uncle, Abu Lahab."

سیدنا ربیعہ رضی اللہ عنہ سے مروی ہے کہ میں نے ہجرت مدینہ سے پہلے نبی ﷺ کو ذی المجاز نامی بازار میں لوگوں کے سامنے اپنی دعوت پیش کرتے ہوئے دیکھا نبی ﷺ کے پیچھے ایک بھینگا آدمی بھی تھا جو یہ کہہ رہا تھا کہ یہ شخص تمہیں تمہارے معبودوں کے دین سے برگشتہ نہ کر دے میں نے لوگوں سے پوچھا کہ یہ پیچھے والا شخص بھینگا کون ہے لوگوں نے بتایا کہ یہ نبی ﷺ کا چچا ابولہب ہے۔
Sayyda Rabia (رضي الله تعالى عنه) se marvi hai ki maine hijrat Madina se pehle Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ko Zi-ul-majaaz nami bazaar mein logon ke samne apni dawat pesh karte huye dekha Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ke peeche ek bhaingga aadmi bhi tha jo ye keh raha tha ki ye shakhs tumhen tumhare maboodon ke deen se bargashta na kar de maine logon se poocha ki ye peeche wala shakhs bhaingga kaun hai logon ne bataya ki ye Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ka chacha Abulahab hai.
قَالَ عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ: حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدُ بْنُ أَبِي الرَّبِيعِ السَّمَّانُ ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنِي سَعِيدُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ يَعْنِي ابْنَ أَبِي الْحُسَامِ ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْمُنْكَدِرِ ، أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ رَبِيعَةَ بْنَ عَبَّادٍ الدِّيلِيَّ يَقُولُ: رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَطُوفُ عَلَى النَّاسِ بمِنًى فِي مَنَازِلِهِمْ قَبْلَ أَنْ يُهَاجِرَ إِلَى الْمَدِينَةِ يَقُولُ:" يَا أَيُّهَا النَّاسُ، إِنَّ اللَّهَ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ يَأْمُرُكُمْ أَنْ تَعْبُدُوهُ، وَلَا تُشْرِكُوا بِهِ شَيْئًا" , قَالَ: وَوَرَاءَهُ رَجُلٌ يَقُولُ: هَذَا يَأْمُرُكُمْ أَنْ تَدَعُوا دِينَ آبَائِكُمْ، فَسَأَلْتُ: مَنْ هَذَا الرَّجُلُ؟ فَقِيلَ: هَذَا أَبُو لَهَبٍ.
