Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 16044
It is narrated by Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Anis that the companions asked the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) which night is Laylat al-Qadr in Ramadan, so the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "The 23rd night."

سیدنا عبداللہ بن انیس سے مروی ہے کہ صحابہ کرام نے نبی ﷺ سے پوچھا کہ ماہ رمضان میں شب قدر کسے سمجھیں تو نبی ﷺ نے فرمایا: ٢٣ ویں شب کو۔
Sayyidna Abdullah bin Anis se marvi hai ki sahaba kiram ne Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) se pucha ki mah-e-ramzan mein shab e qadr kise samjhen to Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne farmaya: 23 veen shab ko.
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو سَلَمَةَ الْخُزَاعِيُّ ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ يَعْنِي الْمَخْرَمِيَّ ، عَنْ يَزِيدَ بْنِ الْهَادِ ، عَنْ أَبِي بَكْرِ بْنِ حَزْمٍ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ أُنَيْسٍ ، أَنّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ لَهُمْ، وَسَأَلُوهُ عَنْ لَيْلَةٍ يَتَرَاءَوْنَهَا فِي رَمَضَانَ، قَالَ:" لَيْلَةُ ثَلَاثٍ وَعِشْرِينَ".
