Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 16475
It is narrated on the authority of Sayyidina Abdullah bin Zaid bin Abd Rabah (may Allah be pleased with him) that he and a Qurayshi man went to the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) in the plain of Mina, while the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) was distributing the meat of the sacrifice, but he could not get any for himself or his companion. Then the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) had his head shaved and put the hair in a cloth and gave it to them, and he also gave some hair to some other people. Then he cut his nails and gave them to his companion. Sayyidina Abdullah said that the hair of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) on which henna and Katam had been applied are still with us today.

سیدنا عبداللہ بن زید بن عبد ربہ رضی اللہ عنہ سے مروی ہے کہ وہ اور ایک قریشی آدمی منیٰ کے میدان میں نبی ﷺ کے پاس حاضر ہوئے، اس وقت نبی ﷺ قربانی کا گوشت تقسیم کر رہے تھے لیکن وہ انہیں یا ان کے ساتھی کو نہ مل سکا، اس کے بعد نبی ﷺ نے ایک کپڑے میں سر منڈوا کر بال رکھ لئے اور وہ انہیں دے دیئے اور اس میں کچھ بال چند لوگوں کو بھی دیئے، پھر اپنے ناخن تراشے تو وہ ان کے ساتھی کو دے دیئے۔ سیدنا عبداللہ کہتے ہیں کہ نبی ﷺ کے وہ بال جن پر مہندی اور وسمہ کا خضاب کیا گیا تھا، آج بھی ہمارے پاس موجود ہیں۔
Sayyidna Abdullah bin Zaid bin Abd Rabah (رضي الله تعالى عنه) se marvi hai ki woh aur ek Qurayshi aadmi Mina ke maidan mein Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ke paas hazir hue, us waqt Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) qurbani ka gosht taqsim kar rahe the lekin woh unhen ya unke sathi ko na mil saka, iske baad Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne ek kapde mein sar mundwa kar baal rakh liye aur woh unhen de diye aur is mein kuch baal chand logon ko bhi diye, phir apne nakhun tarashe to woh unke sathi ko de diye. Sayyidna Abdullah kehte hain ki Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ke woh baal jin par mehandi aur wasma ka khisab kiya gaya tha, aaj bhi hamare pass mojood hain.
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو دَاوُدَ الطَّيَالِسِيُّ ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا أَبَانُ الْعَطَّارُ ، عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ أَبِي كَثِيرٍ ، أَنَّ أَبَا سَلَمَةَ حَدَّثَهُ، أَنَّ مُحَمَّدَ بْنَ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ زَيْدٍ أَخْبَرَهُ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، أَنَّهُ شَهِدَ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عِنْدَ الْمَنْحَرِ هُوَ وَرَجُلٌ مِنَ الْأَنْصَارِ" فَقَسَمَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ضَحَايَا، فَلَمْ يُصِبْهُ وَلَا صَاحِبَهُ شَيْءٌ، فَحَلَقَ رَأْسَهُ فِي ثَوْبِهِ، فَأَعْطَاهُ وَقَسَمَ مِنْهُ عَلَى رِجَالٍ، وَقَلَّمَ أَظْفَارَهُ، فَأَعْطَاهُ صَاحِبَهُ، فَإِنَّ شَعْرَهُ عِنْدَنَا مَخْضُوبٌ بِالْحِنَّاءِ وَالْكَتَمِ".
