Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 16476
Abdullah bin Zaid (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated that I saw the words of the call to prayer (Adhan) in a dream and came to the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) and described this dream. The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: Teach these words to Bilal. So I said: O Messenger of Allah!! Since I have seen this (call to prayer) in a dream, I wish to pronounce it in the call for prayer (Iqamah). So, the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) allowed me to pronounce it in the Iqamah. So, he (the Prophet) pronounced the words in the Iqamah and Bilal gave the Adhan.

سیدنا عبداللہ بن زید رضی اللہ عنہ سے مروی ہے کہ میں خواب میں اذان کے کلمات سیکھ کر نبی ﷺ کے پاس آیا اور یہ خواب بیان کیا، نبی ﷺ نے فرمایا: یہ کلمات بلال کو سکھا دو، چنانچہ میں نے عرض کیا: یا رسول اللہ!! چونکہ یہ خواب میں نے دیکھا ہے، اس لئے میری خواہش ہے کہ اقامت میں کہوں، چنانچہ نبی ﷺ نے مجھے اقامت کہنے کی اجازت دے دی، اس طرح اقامت انہوں نے کہی اور اذان سیدنا بلال نے دی۔
Sayyidna Abdullah bin Zaid raza Allahu anhu se marvi hai ki mein khwab mein azan ke kalimat seekh kar Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ke pass aaya aur ye khwab bayan kiya, Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne farmaya: Ye kalimat Bilal ko sikha do, chunanchi mein ne arz kiya: Ya Rasulullah!! Chunki ye khwab mein ne dekha hai, is liye meri khwahish hai ki iqamat mein kahun, chunanchi Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne mujhe iqamat kahne ki ijazat de di, is tarah iqamat unhon ne kahi aur azan Sayyidna Bilal ne di.
حَدَّثَنَا زَيْدُ بْنُ الْحُبَابِ أَبُو الْحُسَيْنِ الْعُكْلِيُّ ، قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنِي أَبُو سَهْلٍ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَمْرٍو ، قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنِي عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ زَيْدٍ ، عَنْ عَمِّهِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ زَيْدٍ ، أَنَّهُ أُرِيَ الْأَذَانَ، قَالَ: فَجِئْتُ إِلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، فَأَخْبَرْتُهُ، فَقَالَ:" أَلْقِهِ عَلَى بِلَالٍ"، فَأَلْقَيْتُهُ، فَأَذَّنَ، قَالَ: فَأَرَادَ أَنْ يُقِيمَ، فَقُلْتُ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ أَنَا رَأَيْتُ، أُرِيدُ أَنْ أُقِيمَ، قَالَ:" فَأَقِمْ أَنْتَ" فَأَقَامَ هُوَ، وَأَذَّنَ بِلَالٌ.
