Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 16687
Sa'b bin Juthama (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated that once the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) passed by me while I was in Abwa or Wadan. The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) was in the state of Ihram. I offered him the meat of a wild donkey as a gift, but the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) returned it to me. When he saw the signs of sadness on my face, he said that there was no reason to return it except that we were in the state of Ihram.

سیدنا صعب بن جثامہ رضی اللہ عنہ سے مروی ہے کہ ایک مرتبہ نبی ﷺ میرے پاس سے گزرے، میں اس وقت مقام ابواء یاودان میں تھا، نبی ﷺ احرام کی حالت میں تھے، میں نے آپ کی خدمت میں جنگلی گدھے کا گوشت ہدیۃ پیش کیا، لیکن نبی ﷺ نے وہ مجھے واپس کر دیا اور جب میرے چہرے پر غمگینی کے آثار دیکھے تو فرمایا کہ اسے واپس کرنے کی اور کوئی وجہ نہیں ہے سوائے اس کے کہ ہم محرم ہیں
Sayyiduna Saab bin Jussasha RA se marvi hai ki ek martaba Nabi SAW mere pass se guzre, main us waqt maqam Abwa ya Wadaan mein tha, Nabi SAW ehram ki halat mein the, maine aap ki khidmat mein jungli gadhe ka gosht hadiya pesh kiya, lekin Nabi SAW ne woh mujhe wapas kar diya aur jab mere chehre par ghamgini ke asar dekhe toh farmaya ki ise wapas karne ki aur koi wajah nahi hai siwaye is ke ki hum mehram hain.
قال عَبْد اللَّهِ بن أحمد: حَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ مَنْصُورٍ ، قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مَسْلَمَةَ ، عَنْ مَالِكٍ ، عَنِ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ ، عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عُتْبَةَ بْنِ مَسْعُودٍ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَبَّاسٍ ، عَنِ الصَّعْبِ بْنِ جَثَّامَةَ اللَّيْثِيِّ ، أَنَّهُ أَهْدَى لِرَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَهُوَ بِالْأَبْوَاءِ أَوْ بِوَدَّانَ حِمَارًا وَحْشِيًّا، فَرَدَّهُ عَلَيْهِ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، فَلَمَّا رَأَى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مَا فِي وَجْهِي، قَالَ:" إنَّا لَمْ نَرُدَّهُ عَلَيْكَ إِلَّا أَنَّا حُرُمٌ".
