Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 16775
Narrated by Jabir bin Mut'im (may Allah be pleased with him): Upon returning from the Battle of Hunayn, I was accompanying the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) along with other people. Some Bedouins stopped the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) on the way and started demanding a share of the spoils of war. They pressed him so much that he was forced to take shelter under an Acacia tree. Meanwhile, someone even snatched his cloak. At this, the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) stopped and said, "Return my cloak to me. If I had favors as many as the thorns of this tree, I would have distributed them among you, and you would not have found me stingy, a liar, or a coward."

سیدنا جبیر بن مطعم رضی اللہ عنہ سے مروی ہے کہ غزوہ حنین سے واپسی پر وہ نبی ﷺ کے ساتھ چل رہے تھے، دوسرے لوگ بھی ہمراہ تھے کہ کچھ دیہاتیوں نے نبی ﷺ کو راستے میں روک کر مال غنیمت مانگنا شروع کر دیا حتی کہ انہوں نے نبی ﷺ کو ببول کے ایک درخت کے نیچے پناہ لینے پر مجبور کر دیا، اسی دوران نبی ﷺ کی چادر بھی کسی نے کھینچ لی اس پر نبی ﷺ رک گئے اور فرمایا کہ مجھے میری چادر واپس دے دو اگر ان کانٹوں کی تعداد کے برابر بھی میرے پاس نعمتیں ہوں تو میں تمہارے پاس نعمتیں ہوں تو میں تمہارے درمیان ہی انہیں تقسیم کر دوں اور تم مجھے پھر بھی بخیل، جھوٹا یا بزدل نہ پاؤں گے۔
Sayyidina Jabir bin Mut'im (رضي الله تعالى عنه) se marvi hai ki Ghazwa Hunain se vapsi par woh Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ke sath chal rahe the, dusre log bhi hamrah the ki kuch dehatiyon ne Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ko raste mein rok kar maal ghanimat mangna shuru kar diya hatta ki unhon ne Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ko babool ke ek darakht ke neeche panah lene par majboor kar diya, isi dauran Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ki chadar bhi kisi ne khench li is par Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ruk gaye aur farmaya ki mujhe meri chadar wapas de do agar in kanton ki tadad ke barabar bhi mere pass nematein hon to main tumhare pass nematein hon to main tumhare darmiyan hi unhen taqsim kar dun aur tum mujhe phir bhi bakhil, jhootha ya buzdil na paon ge.
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ ، حَدَّثَنَا مَعْمَرٌ ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ ، عَنْ عُمَرَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عمرو بْنِ مُطْعِمٍ ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ جُبَيْرِ بْنِ مُطْعِمٍ ، أَنَّ أَبَاهُ أَخْبَرَهُ بَيْنَا هُوَ يَسِيرُ مَعَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَمَعَهُ النَاسٌ مَقْفَلَهُ مِنْ حُنَيْنٍ عَلِقَهُ الْأَعْرَابُ يَسْأَلُونَهُ، فَاضْطَرُّوهُ إِلَى سَمُرَةٍ، فَخَطِفَتْ رِدَاءَهُ وَهُوَ عَلَى رَاحِلَتِهِ، فَوَقَفَ، فَقَالَ:" رُدُّوا عَلَيَّ رِدَائِي، أَتَخْشَوْنَ عَلَيَّ الْبُخْلَ؟ فَلَوْ كَانَ عَدَدُ هَذِهِ الْعِضَاهِ نَعَمًا لَقَسَمْتُهُ بَيْنَكُمْ، ثُمَّ لَا تَجِدُونِي بَخِيلًا وَلَا جَبَانًا وَلَا كَذَّابًا"، قَالَ أَبُو عَبْد الرَّحْمَنِ: أَخْطَأَ مَعْمَرٌ فِي نَسَبِ عُمَرَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَمْرٍو، وَهُوَ عُمَرُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ جُبَيْرِ بْنِ مُطْعِمٍ.
