Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 17122
Narrated by Shaddad bin Aus (May Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said, "The wise one is he who takes account of his own self and prepares for the life after death, and the foolish one is he who follows his desires and still hopes for Allah's mercy."

سیدنا شداد بن اوس رضی اللہ عنہ سے مروی ہے کہ رسول اللہ ﷺ نے ارشاد فرمایا: ”عقلمند وہ ہوتا ہے جو اپنے نفس کا محاسبہ کرے اور ما بعد الموت زندگی کے لئے تیاری کرے اور وہ شخص بےوقوف ہوتا ہے جو اپنی خواہشات کی پیروی کرتا رہے اور اللہ پر امید باندھتا پھرے۔“
Sayyidina Shaddad bin Aus RA se marvi hai ki Rasul Allah SAW ne irshad farmaya Aqalmand wo hota hai jo apne nafs ka muhasiba kare aur ma baad al maut zindagi ke liye taiyari kare aur wo shakhs bewqoof hota hai jo apni khwahishat ki pairavi karta rahe aur Allah par umeed bandhta phire
حَدَّثَنَا الْحَكَمُ بْنُ نَافِعٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ عَيَّاشٍ ، عَنْ رَاشِدِ بْنِ دَاوُدَ ، عَنْ أَبِي أَسْمَاءَ الرَّحَبِيِّ ، عَنْ شَدَّادِ بْنِ أَوْسٍ ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، أَنَّهُ قَالَ: " سَيَكُونُ مِنْ بَعْدِي أَئِمَّةٌ يُمِيتُونَ الصَّلَاةَ عَنْ مَوَاقِيتِهَا، فَصَلُّوا الصَّلَاةَ لِوَقْتِهَا، وَاجْعَلُوا صَلَاتَكُمْ مَعَهُمْ سُبْحَةً" .
