Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 17879
It is narrated on the authority of Salman (may Allah be pleased with him) that I heard the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) saying: “Perform the ‘Aqeeqah on the occasion of the birth of a boy, remove impurities from him and sacrifice an animal on his behalf.”

حضرت سلمان رضی اللہ عنہ سے مروی ہے کہ میں نے نبی ﷺ کو یہ فرماتے ہوئے سنا ہے کہ لڑکے کی پیدائش پر عقیقہ کیا کرو، اس سے آلائشیں وغیرہ دور کر کے اس کی طرف سے جانور قربان کیا کرو۔
Hazrat Salman (رضي الله تعالى عنه) se marvi hai ki maine Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ko ye farmate huye suna hai ki ladke ki paidaish par aqeeqah kiya karo, us se aalaishen waghaira door kar ke us ki taraf se janwar qurban kiya karo.
حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ ، حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادٌ يَعْنِي ابْنَ سَلَمَةَ ، قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنَا أَيُّوبُ ، وَحَبِيبٌ ، وَيُونُسُ ، وَقَتَادَةُ ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ سِيرِينَ ، عَنْ سَلْمَانَ بْنِ عَامِرٍ الضَّبِّيِّ ، أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، قَالَ: " فِي الْغُلَامِ عَقِيقَتُهُ، فَأَهْرِيقُوا عَنْهُ دَمًا، وَأَمِيطُوا عَنْهُ الْأَذَى" .
