Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 18249
Narrated Adi (may Allah be pleased with him) that I asked the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) about the prey that dies by the width of an arrow. The Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: Do not eat it unless the arrow has wounded it.

حضرت عدی رضی اللہ عنہ سے مروی ہے میں نے نبی کریم ﷺ سے اس شکار کے متعلق پوچھا جو تیر کی چوڑائی سے مرجائے تو نبی کریم ﷺ نے فرمایا اسے مت کھاؤ الاّ یہ کہ تیر اسے زخمی کردے۔
Hazrat Adi Raziallahu Anhu se marvi hai maine Nabi Kareem (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) se is shikaar ke mutalliq poocha jo teer ki choraayi se mar jaaye to Nabi Kareem (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne farmaya ise mat khao illa yeh keh teer ise zakhmi karde.
حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي ، عَنْ مَنْصُورٍ ، عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ ، عَنْ هَمَّامٍ ، عَنْ عَدِيِّ بْنِ حَاتِمٍ ، قَالَ: سَأَلْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَنْ صَيْدِ الْمِعْرَاضِ، فَقَالَ: " لَا تَأْكُلْ إِلَّا أَنْ يَخْزِقَ" .
