The Musnad of Abdullah ibn al-Abbas ibn Abd al-Muttalib (may Allah be pleased with them both)

Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 1848

It is narrated by Sayyidina Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with him) that once, while delivering a sermon, the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "When a Muhrim cannot find an Izar (waistcloth) to tie below the navel, then he should wear trousers. And if he cannot find shoes, then he should wear socks."

سیدنا ابن عباس رضی اللہ عنہما سے مروی ہے کہ ایک مرتبہ نبی ﷺ نے خطبہ دیتے ہوئے ارشاد فرمایا: ”جب محرم کو نیچے باندھنے کے لئے تہبند نہ ملے تو اسے شلوار پہن لینی چاہئے، اور اگر جوتی نہ ملے تو موزے پہن لینے چاہئیں۔“

Sayyidna Ibn Abbas ( (رضي الله تعالى عنه) a se marvi hai ki ek martaba Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne khutba dete huye irshad farmaya: ”Jab mehram ko neeche bandhne ke liye tehband na mile to use shalwar pehen leni chahiye, aur agar jooti na mile to moze pehen lene chahiyen.”

حَدَّثَنَا هُشَيْمٌ ، أَنْبَأَنَا عَمْرُو بْنُ دِينَارٍ ، عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ زَيْدٍ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ ، قَالَ: خَطَبَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ , وَقَالَ:" إِذَا لَمْ يَجِدْ الْمُحْرِمُ إِزَارًا فَلْيَلْبَسْ السَّرَاوِيلَ، وَإِذَا لَمْ يَجِدْ النَّعْلَيْنِ فَلْيَلْبَسْ الْخُفَّيْنِ".
