The Musnad of Abdullah ibn al-Abbas ibn Abd al-Muttalib (may Allah be pleased with them both)

Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 1854
It is narrated on the authority of Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with him) that once the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) was passing through the valley of Azraq. The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) asked, "What valley is this?" The people said, "This is the valley of Azraq." The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said, "It seems as if I am seeing Prophet Moses (peace be upon him) descending from the hill and he is reciting the Talbiyah aloud." Then the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) reached a place called "Thaniyyah Hirshi" and asked, "What hill is this?" The people said, "It is called Thaniyyah Hirshi." The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said, "Here it seems to me as if I am seeing Prophet Jonah (peace be upon him) riding a red camel with curly hair. He is wearing a woolen garment, the reins of his camel are made of a rope woven from the bark of a date palm tree, and he is reciting the Talbiyah."

سیدنا ابن عباس رضی اللہ عنہما سے مروی ہے کہ ایک مرتبہ نبی ﷺ کا گزر وادی ازرق پر ہوا، نبی ﷺ نے پوچھا کہ ”یہ کون سی وادی ہے؟“ لوگوں نے بتایا کہ یہ وادی ازرق ہے، نبی ﷺ نے فرمایا: ”گویا ایسا محسوس ہو رہا ہے کہ میں حضرت موسیٰ علیہ السلام کو ٹیلے سے اترتے ہوئے دیکھ رہا ہوں اور وہ بآواز بلند تلبیہ کہہ رہے ہیں“، یہاں تک کہ نبی ﷺ ”ثنیہ ہرشی“ نامی جگہ پر پہنچ گئے اور فرمایا کہ ”یہ کون سا ٹیلہ ہے؟“ لوگوں نے بتایا کہ اس کا نام ثنیہ ہرشی ہے، نبی ﷺ نے فرمایا: ”یہاں مجھے ایسا محسوس ہو رہا ہے کہ میں حضرت یونس علیہ السلام کو ایک سرخ، گھنگریالے بالوں والی اونٹنی پر سوار دیکھ رہا ہوں، انہوں نے اون کا بنا ہوا جبہ زیب تن کر رکھا ہے، ان کی اونٹنی کی لگام کھجور کے درخت کی چھال سے بٹی ہوئی رسی کی ہے اور وہ تلبیہ پڑھ رہے ہیں۔“
Sayyidna Ibn Abbas Radi Allaho Anhuma se marvi hai ki ek martaba Nabi Sallallaho Alaihi Wasallam ka guzar wadi azraq par hua, Nabi Sallallaho Alaihi Wasallam ne poocha ki "yeh kon si wadi hai?" logon ne bataya ki yeh wadi azraq hai, Nabi Sallallaho Alaihi Wasallam ne farmaya: "goya aisa mehsoos ho raha hai ki main Hazrat Musa Alaihis Salam ko teele se utarte huye dekh raha hun aur wo ba awaz buland talbiyah keh rahe hain", yahan tak ke Nabi Sallallaho Alaihi Wasallam "saniyah harshi" nami jaga par pahunche aur farmaya ki "yeh kon sa teela hai?" logon ne bataya ki iska naam saniyah harshi hai, Nabi Sallallaho Alaihi Wasallam ne farmaya: "yahan mujhe aisa mehsoos ho raha hai ki main Hazrat Yunus Alaihis Salam ko ek surkh, ghungrale baalon wali untni par sawar dekh raha hun, unhon ne oon ka bana hua jiba zeb tan kar rakha hai, unki untni ki lagam khajoor ke darakht ki chhaal se bati hui rassi ki hai aur wo talbiyah padh rahe hain."
حَدَّثَنَا هُشَيْمٌ ، أَنْبَأَنَا دَاوُدُ بْنُ أَبِي هِنْدٍ ، عَنِ أَبِي الْعَالِيَةِ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ ، أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مَرَّ بِوَادِي الْأَزْرَقِ، فَقَالَ:" أَيُّ وَادٍ هَذَا؟"، قَالُوا: هَذَا وَادِي الْأَزْرَقِ، فَقَالَ:" كَأَنِّي أَنْظُرُ إِلَى مُوسَى عَلَيْهِ السَّلَام وَهُوَ هَابِطٌ مِنَ الثَّنِيَّةِ وَلَهُ جُؤَارٌ إِلَى اللَّهِ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ بِالتَّلْبِيَةِ"، حَتَّى أَتَى عَلَى ثَنِيَّةِ هَرْشَى، فَقَالَ:" أَيُّ ثَنِيَّةٍ هَذِهِ؟" , قَالُوا: ثَنِيَّةُ هَرْشَى، قَالَ:" كَأَنِّي أَنْظُرُ إِلَى يُونُسَ بْنِ مَتَّى عَلَى نَاقَةٍ حَمْرَاءَ جَعْدَةٍ، عَلَيْهِ جُبَّةٌ مِنْ صُوفٍ، خِطَامُ نَاقَتِهِ خُلْبَةٌ، قَالَ هُشَيْمٌ: يَعْنِي لِيفً، وَهُوَ يُلَبِّي".
