Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 18674
It is narrated on the authority of Bara (may Allah be pleased with him) that he saw the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) raising his hands while starting the prayer. At that time, the thumbs of the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) were level with his earlobes.

حضرت براء رضی اللہ عنہ سے مروی ہے کہ نبی کریم ﷺ کو افتتاح نماز کے موقع پر رفع یدین کرتے ہوئے دیکھا ہے اس وقت نبی کریم ﷺ کے انگوٹھے کانوں کی لوتک برابر ہوتے تھے۔
Hazrat Bara RA se marvi hai keh Nabi Kareem SAW ko iftitah namaz ke mauke par rafay yadain karte huye dekha hai us waqt Nabi Kareem SAW ke ungoothey kanon ki lotak barabar hote thay.
حَدَّثَنَا أَسْبَاطٌ ، حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ بْنُ أَبِي زِيَادٍ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ أَبِي لَيْلَى ، عَنِ الْبَرَاءِ بْنِ عَازِبٍ ، قَالَ:" كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِذَا افْتَتَحَ الصَّلَاةَ، رَفَعَ يَدَيْهِ حَتَّى تَكُونَ إِبْهَامَاهُ حِذَاءَ أُذُنَيْهِ" .
