Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 18702
It is narrated on the authority of Bara (may Allah be pleased with him) that he saw the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) raising his hands while starting the prayer. At that time, the thumbs of the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) were level with his earlobes.

حضرت براء رضی اللہ عنہ سے مروی ہے کہ نبی کریم ﷺ کو افتتاح نماز کے موقع پر رفع یدین کرتے ہوئے دیکھا ہے اس وقت نبی کریم ﷺ کے انگوٹھے کانوں کی لو تک برابر ہوتے تھے۔
Hazrat Bara raziallahu anhu se marvi hai ke Nabi Kareem (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ko iftitah namaz ke mauqe par rafay yadain karte huye dekha hai us waqt Nabi Kareem (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ke anguthay kaanon ki lou tak barabar hote thay.
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ ، أَخْبَرَنَا سُفْيَانُ ، عَنْ يَزِيدَ بْنِ أَبِي زِيَادٍ ، عَن عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ أَبِي لَيْلَى ، عَن الْبَرَاءِ بْنِ عَازِبٍ ، قَالَ:" كَانَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِذَا كَبَّرَ، رَفَعَ يَدَيْهِ حَتَّى نَرَى إِبْهَامَيْهِ قَرِيبًا مِنْ أُذُنَيْهِ" .
