Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 19810
It is narrated on the authority of Abu Burzah Aslami (may Allah be pleased with him) that Julaibib used to pass by women and entertain them. I told my wife that Julaibib should not come to you. If he comes, then I will do such and such. It was the custom of the Ansar that they would not marry off a widow until they had informed the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him). Although the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) had no need of this, he said to an Ansari man, "Marry your daughter to me." He said, "Yes, O Messenger of Allah! Very well." The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said, "I am not asking for her for myself." He asked, "O Messenger of Allah! Then for whom?" The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said, "For Julaibib." He said, "O Messenger of Allah! Let me consult the girl's mother." So he went to her mother and said, "The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) sends a marriage proposal for your daughter." She said, "Very well, our eyes will be cooled." He said, "The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) is not sending the proposal for himself but for Julaibib." She immediately refused, saying, "By God! No way. The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) could not find anyone other than Julaibib? We have already refused such and such proposals." The girl was listening from behind her curtain. When her father was about to leave to inform the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) after their mutual consultation, the girl said, "Will you reject the proposal of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him)? If the pleasure of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) is in it, then you should accept the proposal." Saying this, she opened the eyes of her parents, and they said, "You are right." So her father went to the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) and said, "If you are pleased with this relationship, then we are also pleased." The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said, "I am pleased." So the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) married Julaibib to that girl. After a while, Medina was attacked, and Julaibib also rode out. When the battle was over, the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) asked the people, "Are you missing anyone?" The people said, "O Messenger of Allah! We are missing so and so people." The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said, "But I am missing Julaibib. Find him." The people searched for him and found him near seven men. Julaibib (may Allah be pleased with him) had killed all seven of them and was later martyred himself. The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) came and stood near him and said, "He has killed seven men, then the polytheists martyred him. He is from me and I am from him." He repeated this sentence twice. Then when he was lifted up to the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him), the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) lifted him up in his arms, and until his burial, the Prophet's (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) arms were the bier for him. The narrator did not mention the bath.

حضرت ابوبرزہ اسلمی رضی اللہ عنہ سے مروی ہے کہ جلیبیب عورتوں کے پاس سے گذرتا اور انہیں تفریح مہیا کرتا تھا، میں نے اپنی بیوی سے کہہ دیا تھا کہ تمہارے پاس جلیبیب کو نہیں آنا چاہیے، اگر وہ آیا تو میں ایسا ایسا کردوں گا، انصار کی عادت تھی کہ وہ کسی بیوہ عورت کی شادی اس وقت تک نہیں کرتے تھے جب تک نبی ﷺ کو اس سے مطلع نہ کردیتے، کہ نبی ﷺ کو تو اس سے کوئی ضرورت نہیں ہے، چناچہ نبی ﷺ نے ایک انصاری آدمی سے کہا کہ اپنی بیٹی کا نکاح مجھ سے کردو، اس نے کہا زہے نصیب یارسول اللہ! بہت بہتر، نبی ﷺ نے فرمایا میں اپنی ذات کے لئے اس کا مطالبہ نہیں کر رہا، اس نے پوچھا یارسول اللہ! پھر کس کے لئے؟ نبی ﷺ نے فرمایا جلیبیب کے لئے، اس نے کہا یا رسول اللہ! میں لڑکی کی ماں سے مشورہ کرلوں، چناچہ وہ اس کی ماں کے پاس پہنچا اور کہا کہ نبی ﷺ تمہاری بیٹی کو پیغام نکاح دیتے ہیں، اس نے کہا بہت اچھا، ہماری آنکھیں ٹھنڈی ہوں گی، اس نے کہا کہ نبی ﷺ اپنے لئے پیغام نہیں دے رہے بلکہ جلیبیب کے لئے پیغام دے رہے ہیں، اس نے فوراً انکار کرتے ہوئے کہہ دیا بخدا! کسی صورت میں نہیں، نبی ﷺ کو جلیبیب کے علاوہ اور کوئی نہیں ملا، ہم نے تو فلاں فلاں رشتے سے انکار کردیا تھا، ادھر وہ لڑکی اپنے پردے میں سے سن رہی تھی۔ باہم صلاح مشورے کے بعد جب وہ آدمی نبی ﷺ کو اس سے مطلع کرنے کے لئے روانہ ہونے لگا تو وہ لڑکی کہنے لگی کہ کیا آپ لوگ نبی ﷺ کی بات کو رد کریں گے، اگر نبی ﷺ کی رضا مندی اس میں شامل ہے تو آپ نکاح کردیں، یہ کہہ کر اس نے اپنے والدین کی آنکھیں کھول دیں اور وہ کہنے لگے کہ تم سچ کہہ رہی ہو، چناچہ اس کا باپ نبی ﷺ کی خدمت میں حاضر ہوا اور کہنے لگا کہ اگر آپ اس رشتے سے راضی ہیں تو ہم بھی راضی ہیں، نبی ﷺ نے فرمایا میں راضی ہوں، چناچہ نبی ﷺ نے جلیبیب سے اس لڑکی کا نکاح کردیا، کچھ ہی عرصے بعد اہل مدینہ پر حملہ ہوا، جلیبیب بھی سوار ہو کر نکلے۔ جب جنگ سے فراغت ہوئی تو لوگوں سے پوچھا کہ تم کسی کو غائب پا رہے ہو، لوگوں نے کہا یا رسول اللہ! فلاں فلاں لوگ ہمیں نہیں مل رہے، نبی ﷺ نے فرمایا لیکن مجھے جلیبیب غائب نظر آ رہا ہے، اسے تلاش کرو، لوگوں نے انہیں تلاش کیا تو وہ سات آدمیوں کے پاس مل گئے، حضرت جلیبیب رضی اللہ عنہ نے ان ساتوں کو قتل کیا تھا بعد میں خود بھی شہید ہوگئے، نبی ﷺ تشریف لائے اور ان کے پاس کھڑے ہو کر فرمایا اس نے سات آدمیوں کو قتل کیا ہے، بعد میں مشرکین نے اسے شہید کردیا، یہ مجھ سے ہے اور میں اس سے ہوں، یہ جملے دو مرتبہ دہرائے، پھر جب اسے نبی ﷺ کے سامنے اٹھایا گیا تو نبی ﷺ نے اسے اپنے بازوؤں پر اٹھا لیا اور تدفین تک نبی ﷺ کے دونوں بازو ہی تھے جو ان کے لئے جنازے کی چارپائی تھی، راوی نے غسل کا ذکر نہیں کیا۔
Hazrat Abu Burza Aslami Radi Allaho Anho se marvi hai ki Julaibib auraton ke pass se guzarta aur unhen tafreeh muhayya karta tha, maine apni biwi se keh diya tha ki tumhare pass Julaibib ko nahi aana chahiye, agar wo aaya to main aisa aisa kardoon ga, Ansar ki adat thi ki wo kisi bewa aurat ki shadi us waqt tak nahi karte the jab tak Nabi Sallallaho Alaihi Wasallam ko us se mutalli na kar dete, ki Nabi Sallallaho Alaihi Wasallam ko to us se koi zaroorat nahi hai, chunancha Nabi Sallallaho Alaihi Wasallam ne ek Ansaari aadmi se kaha ki apni beti ka nikah mujh se kar do, usne kaha zahe nasib ya Rasul Allah! bahut behtar, Nabi Sallallaho Alaihi Wasallam ne farmaya main apni zaat ke liye iska mutalba nahi kar raha, usne poocha ya Rasul Allah! phir kis ke liye? Nabi Sallallaho Alaihi Wasallam ne farmaya Julaibib ke liye, usne kaha ya Rasul Allah! main ladki ki maan se mashwara kar loon, chunancha wo uski maan ke pass pahuncha aur kaha ki Nabi Sallallaho Alaihi Wasallam tumhari beti ko paigham nikah dete hain, usne kaha bahut achcha, hamari aankhen thandi hongi, usne kaha ki Nabi Sallallaho Alaihi Wasallam apne liye paigham nahi de rahe balki Julaibib ke liye paigham de rahe hain, usne foran inkar karte hue keh diya bukhda! kisi surat mein nahi, Nabi Sallallaho Alaihi Wasallam ko Julaibib ke alawa aur koi nahi mila, humne to falan falan rishte se inkar kar diya tha, udhar wo ladki apne parde mein se sun rahi thi. Baham salah mashware ke baad jab wo aadmi Nabi Sallallaho Alaihi Wasallam ko us se mutalli karne ke liye rawana hone laga to wo ladki kehne lagi ki kya aap log Nabi Sallallaho Alaihi Wasallam ki baat ko rad karenge, agar Nabi Sallallaho Alaihi Wasallam ki raza mandi is mein shamil hai to aap nikah kar dein, yeh keh kar usne apne waldain ki aankhen khol di aur wo kehne lage ki tum sach keh rahi ho, chunancha us ka baap Nabi Sallallaho Alaihi Wasallam ki khidmat mein hazir hua aur kehne laga ki agar aap is rishte se razi hain to hum bhi razi hain, Nabi Sallallaho Alaihi Wasallam ne farmaya main razi hoon, chunancha Nabi Sallallaho Alaihi Wasallam ne Julaibib se us ladki ka nikah kar diya, kuchh hi arse baad ahle Madinah par hamla hua, Julaibib bhi sawar ho kar nikle. Jab jang se faraghat hui to logon se poocha ki tum kisi ko ghaib pa rahe ho, logon ne kaha ya Rasul Allah! falan falan log hamen nahi mil rahe, Nabi Sallallaho Alaihi Wasallam ne farmaya lekin mujhe Julaibib ghaib nazar aa raha hai, use talash karo, logon ne unhen talash kiya to wo saat aadmiyon ke pass mil gaye, Hazrat Julaibib Radi Allaho Anho ne un saaton ko qatl kiya tha baad mein khud bhi shaheed ho gaye, Nabi Sallallaho Alaihi Wasallam tashreef laaye aur unke pass khade ho kar farmaya isne saat aadmiyon ko qatl kiya hai, baad mein mushrikeen ne use shaheed kar diya, yeh mujh se hai aur main is se hoon, yeh jumle do martaba dohraye, phir jab use Nabi Sallallaho Alaihi Wasallam ke samne uthaya gaya to Nabi Sallallaho Alaihi Wasallam ne use apne baazuon par utha liya aur tadfeen tak Nabi Sallallaho Alaihi Wasallam ke donon baazu hi the jo un ke liye janaze ki charpai thi, ravi ne ghusl ka zikr nahi kiya.
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الصَّمَدِ ، حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ ، حَدَّثَنَا ثَابِتٌ ، عَنْ كِنَانَةَ بْنِ نُعَيْمٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي بَرْزَةَ : أَنَّ جُلَيْبِيبًا كَانَ مِنَ الْأَنْصَارِ , وكان أصحابُ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِذَا كَانَ لِأَحَدِهِمْ أَيِّمٌ لَمْ يُزَوِّجْهَا حَتَّى يَعْلَمَ أَلِلنَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِيهَا حَاجَةٌ أَمْ لَا , فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ذَاتَ يَوْمٍ لِرَجُلٍ مِنَ الْأَنْصَارِ: " زَوِّجْنِي ابْنَتَكَ" , فَقَالَ: نِعِمَّ وَنُعْمَةُ عَيْنٍ , فَقَالَ لَهُ:" إِنِّي لَسْتُ لِنَفْسِي أُرِيدُهَا" قَالَ: فَلِمَنْ؟ قَالَ:" لِجُلَيْبِيبٍ" قَالَ: حَتَّى أَسْتَأْمِرَ أُمَّهَا , فَأَتَاهَا , فَقَالَ: إِنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَخْطُبُ ابْنَتَكِ , قَالَتْ: نِعِمَّ وَنُعْمَةُ عَيْنٍ، زَوِّجْ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ , قَالَ: إِنَّهُ لَيْسَ يُرِيدُهَا لِنَفْسِهِ , قَالَتْ: فَلِمَنْ؟ قَالَ: لِجُلَيْبِيبٍ , قَالَتْ: حَلْقَى، أَجُلَيْبِيبٌ ابنه مَرَّتَيْنِ , لَا لَعَمْرُ اللَّهِ، لَا أُزَوِّجُ جُلَيْبِيبًا , قَالَ: فَلَمَّا قَامَ أَبُوهَا لِيَأْتِيَ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، قَالَتْ الْفَتَاةُ لِأُمِّهَا مِنْ خِدْرِهَا: مَنْ خَطَبَنِي إِلَيْكُمَا؟ قَالَتْ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، قَالَتْ: فَتَرُدُّونَ عَلَى النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَمْرَهُ، ادْفَعُونِي إِلَى النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، فَإِنَّهُ لَا يُضَيِّعُنِي , فَأَتَى أَبُوهَا النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، فَقَالَ: شَأْنَكَ بِهَا , فَزَوَّجَهَا جُلَيْبِيبًا . فَبَيْنَمَا النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِي مَغْزًى لَهُ، وَأَفَاءَ اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ، فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ:" هَلْ تَفْقِدُونَ مِنْ أَحَدٍ؟" قَالُوا: نَفْقِدُ فُلَانًا، وَنَفْقِدُ فُلَانًا , فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ:" لَكِنِّي أَفْقِدُ جُلَيْبِيبًا، فَانْظُرُوهُ فِي الْقَتْلَى" فَنَظَرُوهُ، فَوَجَدُوهُ إِلَى جَنْبِ سَبْعَةٍ قَدْ قَتَلَهُمْ، ثُمَّ قَتَلُوهُ، قَالَ: فَوَقَفَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، فَقَالَ: " قَتَلَ سَبْعَةً، ثُمَّ قَتَلُوهُ! هَذَا مِنِّي وَأَنَا مِنْهُ" ثُمَّ حَمَلَهُ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَلَى سَاعِدَيْهِ، مَا لَهُ سَرِيرٌ غَيْرَ سَاعِدَيْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ حَتَّى حُفِرَ لَهُ، ثُمَّ وَضَعَهُ فِي لَحْدِهِ , وَمَا ذَكَرَ غُسْلًا .
