Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 19882
It is narrated on the authority of Imran Ibn Husain (may Allah be pleased with him) that once the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) asked someone: "Did you fast any days at the end of this month of Sha'ban?". He said, "No." The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said, "Then fast one or two days after the fasts of Ramadan are over."

حضرت عمران بن حصین رضی اللہ عنہ سے مروی ہے کہ ایک مرتبہ نبی ﷺ نے کسی سے پوچھا کیا تم نے شعبان کے اس مہینے کے آخر میں کوئی روزہ رکھا ہے؟ اس نے کہا نہیں، نبی ﷺ نے فرمایا جب رمضان کے روزے ختم ہوجائیں تو ایک دو دن کے روزے رکھ لینا۔
Hazrat Imran bin Husain (رضي الله تعالى عنه) se marvi hai ki aik martaba Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne kisi se poocha kya tum ne Shaban ke is mahine ke akhir mein koi roza rakha hai? Usne kaha nahin, Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne farmaya jab Ramazan ke roze khatam hojain to ek do din ke roze rakh lena.
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ أَبِي عَدِيٍّ ، عَنْ سُلَيْمَانَ يَعْنِي التَّيْمِيَّ ، عَنْ أَبِي الْعَلَاءِ ، عَنْ مُطَرِّفٍ ، عَنْ عِمْرَانَ بْنِ حُصَيْنٍ , أَنّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ لَهُ، أَوْ لِغَيْرِهِ: " هَلْ صُمْتَ سِرَارَ هَذَا الشَّهْرِ؟" قَالَ: لَا , قَالَ:" فَإِذَا أَفْطَرْتَ , أَوْ أَفْطَرَ النَّاسُ , فَصُمْ يَوْمَيْنِ" .
