Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 19884
It is narrated on the authority of Imran bin Husain (may Allah be pleased with him) that once we were with the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) on a journey when this verse was revealed: “O mankind! Fear your Lord. Indeed, the earthquake of the Hour is a formidable thing." (Here, a word is missing from my father's narration. According to another narration, the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) recited these two verses aloud. When the Companions (may Allah be pleased with them) heard his voice, they brought their mounts close and stood around the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him)). The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "That will be the Day when Allah, the Exalted, will call out to Adam (peace be upon him) saying, 'O Adam! Bring forth the people of Hellfire.' He will ask, 'What is the share of Hellfire?' It will be said, 'Take out nine hundred and ninety-nine out of every thousand for Hellfire.' Hearing this, the Companions (may Allah be pleased with them) started weeping. The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: 'Draw near (to Allah) and remain on the straight path, for you are among all the nations like a mere mark on a garment. But still, I have hope that you will be a quarter of the people of Paradise.' Nay, I have hope that you will be a third of the people of Paradise."

حضرت عمران بن حصین رضی اللہ عنہ سے مروی ہے کہ ایک مرتبہ ہم لوگ نبی ﷺ کے ساتھ کسی سفر میں تھے تو یہ آیت نازل ہوئی " اے لوگو! اپنے رب سے ڈرو، بیشک قیامت کا زلزلہ بڑی عظیم چیز ہے " (یہاں میرے والد سے ایک لفظ چھوٹ گیا ہے، دوسری روایت کے مطابق نبی ﷺ نے بلند آواز سے ان دو آیتوں کی تلاوت فرمائی، صحابہ رضی اللہ عنہ کے کان میں اس کی آواز پہنچی تو انہوں نے اپنی سواریوں کو قریب کیا اور نبی ﷺ کے گرد) آ کر کھڑے ہوگئے، نبی ﷺ نے فرمایا یہ وہ دن ہوگا جب اللہ تعالیٰ حضرت آدم (علیہ السلام) سے پکار کر کہے گا کے اے آدم! جہنم کا حصہ نکالو، وہ پوچھیں گے کہ جہنم کا حصہ کیا ہے؟ تو ارشاد ہوگا ہر ہزار میں سے نو سو ننانوے جہنم کے لئے نکال لو، یہ سن کر صحابہ کرام رضی اللہ عنہ رونے لگے، نبی ﷺ نے فرمایا قربت پیدا کرو اور راہ راست پر رہو، تمام امتوں میں تم لوگ صرف کپڑے پر ایک نشان کی مانند ہوگے، لیکن پھر بھی مجھے امید ہے کہ تم اہل جنت کا ایک چوتھائی حصہ ہو گے بلکہ مجھے امید ہے کہ تم اہل جنت کا ایک تہائی حصہ ہوگے۔
Hazrat Imran bin Husain razi Allah anhu se marvi hai ki ek martaba hum log Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ke sath kisi safar mein the to yeh ayat nazil hui "Aye logo! Apne Rab se daro, beshak qayamat ka zalzala badi azeem cheez hai" (yahan mere walid se ek lafz chhut gaya hai, dusri riwayat ke mutabiq Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne buland aawaz se in do aayaton ki tilawat farmaayi, Sahaba razi Allah anhum ke kaan mein iski aawaz pahunchi to unhon ne apni sawariyon ko qareeb kiya aur Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ke gird) aakar kharay hogaye, Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne farmaya yeh woh din hoga jab Allah Ta'ala Hazrat Adam alaihissalam se pukar kar kahega ke aye Adam! Jahannum ka hissa nikalo, woh poochenge ke jahannam ka hissa kya hai? To irshad hoga har hazar mein se nau sau ninanve jahannam ke liye nikal lo, yeh sunkar Sahaba kiram razi Allah anhum rone lage, Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne farmaya qurbat paida karo aur rah rast par raho, tamam ummaton mein tum log sirf kapre par ek nishan ki manind honge, lekin phir bhi mujhe umeed hai ki tum ahle Jannat ka ek chauthai hissa ho ge balke mujhe umeed hai ki tum ahle Jannat ka ek tihai hissa ho ge.
حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ ، عَنِ ابْنِ جُدْعَانَ ، عَنِ الْحَسَنِ ، عَنْ عِمْرَانَ بْنِ حُصَيْنٍ ، قَالَ: كُنَّا مَعَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِي سَفَرٍ، فَنَزَلَتْ: يَأَيُّهَا النَّاسُ اتَّقُوا رَبَّكُمْ إِنَّ زَلْزَلَةَ السَّاعَةِ سورة الحج آية 1 , سَقَطَ عَلَى أَبِي كَلِمَةٌ رَاحِلَتَهُ، وَقَفَ النَّاسُ، قَالَ: " هَلْ تَدْرُونَ أَيَّ يَوْمٍ ذَاكَ؟" قَالُوا: اللَّهُ وَرَسُولُهُ أَعْلَمُ سَقَطَتْ عَلَى أَبِي كَلِمَةٌ" يَقُولُ: يَا آدَمُ ابْعَثْ بَعْثَ النَّارِ , قَالَ: وَمَا بَعْثُ النَّارِ؟ قَالَ: مِنْ كُلِّ أَلْفٍ تِسْعَ مِائَةٍ وتسعةً وَتِسْعِينَ إِلَى النَّارِ" قَالَ: فَبَكَوْا، قَالَ:" قَارِبُوا، وَسَدِّدُوا مَا أَنْتُمْ فِي الْأُمَمِ إِلَّا كَالرَّقْمَةِ، إِنِّي لَأَرْجُو أَنْ تَكُونُوا رُبُعَ أَهْلِ الْجَنَّةِ، إِنِّي لَأَرْجُو أَنْ تَكُونُوا ثُلُثَ أَهْلِ الْجَنَّةِ" .
