Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 19924
It is narrated on the authority of Imran bin Husain (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) would continue to narrate to us the incidents of the night (and sometimes would not even get up in between) except to offer the obligatory prayer.

حضرت عمران بن حصین رضی اللہ عنہ سے مروی ہے کہ نبی ﷺ ہمیں رات کے واقعات سناتے رہتے تھے (اور بعض اوقات درمیان میں بھی نہیں اٹھتے تھے) صرف فرض نماز کے لئے اٹھتے تھے۔
Hazrat Imran bin Husain (رضي الله تعالى عنه) se marvi hai ki Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) humain raat ke waqiat sunate rehte thay (aur baaz auqat darmiyan mein bhi nahi uthte thay) sirf farz namaz ke liye uthte thay.
حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيٌّ ، حَدَّثَنَا مُعَاذُ بْنُ هِشَامٍ ، حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ ، عَنْ أَبِي حَسَّانَ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَمْرٍو ، قَالَ:" كَانَ نَبِيُّ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يُحَدِّثُنَا عَنْ بَنِي إِسْرَائِيلَ حَتَّى يُصْبِحَ لَا يَقُومُ فِيهَا إِلَّا إِلَى عُظْمِ صَلَاةٍ" .
