ومن مسند بني هاشم
The Musnad of Abdullah ibn al-Abbas ibn Abd al-Muttalib (may Allah be pleased with them both)
مُسْنَدُ عَبْدِ اللّٰهِ بْنِ الْعَبَّاسِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الْمُطَّلِبِ رَضِيَ اللّٰهُ عَنْهُمَا

Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 2034
It is narrated from our master Ibn 'Abbas, may Allah be pleased with both of them, that he said, "I wish that people would reduce their bequests from a third to a fourth, for the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, considered even a third to be too much."

سیدنا ابن عباس رضی اللہ عنہما سے مروی ہے کہ کاش! لوگ وصیت کرنے میں تہائی سے کمی کر کے چوتھائی کو اختیار کر لیں، اس لئے کہ نبی ﷺ نے تہائی کو بھی زیادہ قرار دیا ہے۔
Sayyidna Ibn Abbas raza Allahu anhuma se marvi hai ki kash! log vassiyat karne mein tehai se kami kar ke chauthai ko ikhtiyar kar len, is liye ki Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne tehai ko bhi ziyada qarar diya hai.
حَدَّثَنِي ابْنُ نُمَيْرٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا هِشَامٌ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ ، قَالَ: لَوْ أَنَّ النَّاسَ غَضُّوا مِنَ الثُّلُثِ إِلَى الرُّبُعِ، فَإِنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، قَالَ:" الثُّلُثُ كَثِيرٌ".
