The Musnad of Abdullah ibn al-Abbas ibn Abd al-Muttalib (may Allah be pleased with them both)

Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 2035
It is narrated on the authority of Saeed bin Jubair (may Allah have mercy on him) that once a man came to Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with him) and said that revelation (Wahi) continued to descend upon the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) for ten years in Makkah Mukarramah and also for ten years in Madinah Munawwarah. He ( Ibn Abbas) said: Who says that? Verily, the revelation descended upon the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) in Makkah Mukarramah for ten years and he (the Prophet) lived for 65 years or more.
حضرت سعید بن جبیر رحمہ اللہ سے مروی ہے کہ ایک مرتبہ ایک آدمی سیدنا ابن عباس رضی اللہ عنہما کے پاس آیا اور کہنے لگا کہ نبی ﷺ پر مکہ مکرمہ میں دس سال تک وحی نازل ہوتی رہی اور مدینہ منورہ میں بھی دس سال تک، انہوں نے فرمایا: کون کہتا ہے؟ یقینا نبی ﷺ پر مکہ مکرمہ وحی کا نزول دس سال ہوا ہے اور 65 یا اس سے زیادہ (سال انہوں نے عمر پائی ہے)۔
Hazrat Saeed bin Jubair rehmatullah alaih se marvi hai ki ek martaba ek aadmi Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas ( (رضي الله تعالى عنه) a ke paas aaya aur kehne laga ki Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) par Makkah Mukarramah mein das saal tak wahi nazil hoti rahi aur Madinah Munawwarah mein bhi das saal tak, unhon ne farmaya: kaun kehta hai? Yaqinan Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) par Makkah Mukarramah wahi ka nuzool das saal hua hai aur 65 ya is se ziyada (saal unhon ne umr paayi hai).
حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ نُمَيْرٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا الْعَلَاءُ بْنُ صَالِحٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا الْمِنْهَالُ بْنُ عَمْرٍو ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ جُبَيْرٍ ، أَنَّ رَجُلًا أَتَى ابْنَ عَبَّاسٍ ، فَقَالَ: أُنْزِلَ عَلَى النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَشْرًا بِمَكَّةَ، وَعَشْرًا بِالْمَدِينَةِ، فَقَالَ: مَنْ يَقُولُ ذَلِكَ،" لَقَدْ أُنْزِلَ عَلَيْهِ بِمَكَّةَ عَشْرًا، وَخَمْسًا وَسِتِّينَ وَأَكْثَرَ".
